Can anyone answer the following.

What is the capacity of the Point?
When are the tickets on sale?

I should hope that the prices will at least be in line with Kilmainham,I agree with the poster who suggested that LC will probably have a new set by then, as I have noticed that the set has changed gradually from concert to concert.

Looking forward to Dec 1st,hope to get to the Brazen head, this time around.

Cheers

The new Point 02 will have a capacity in the 12,000-14,000 range.
No one knows WHEN or IF the tickets will be on sale. They're not advertised on the point website.

Red Poppy,

Just out of curiosity, what was the previous capacity of The Point?

How many were in attendance for those two Came So Far For Beauty shows there?

83,000 at each - or so people will tell you.
Almost as many as were in the GPO in 1916.
Actually I don't know what the capacity was, I'd guess 6-8,000

Yes it's going to cost a packet (again), but frankly who cares? Leonard has me over a barrell, and to be honest I feel like I owe him. Sat 14th June was just so special I'm sure we were undercharged. To make up for it  I did buy an overpriced Tshirt (New Skin). Looking forward to sporting it along the quays as I make way down to the 02 this December.

I was in Dublin Saturday night and I said then that I wished he played for another 3 hours, there was so much more that I wanted to hear. If this is part 2 I definitely want to be there. I also think it is highly significant that he is starting and finishing his Euro tour in Dublin. Could be a special night, although I would prefer a much smaller venue this time.
If your reading this Leonard my Christmas wish list is:
Famous Blue Raincoat; Alexandra Leaving; Hey thats no way to say goodbye; Sisters of Mercy; The Stranger Song; Love Itself; Winter Lady; Chelsea Hotel and Lover Lover Lover. That might takes us to half time and you can choose the rest yourself.

- I'm not saying Leonard is milking the fans, I'm saying there may not be the demand (at those prices) to see him again so soon but yes I most definitely am saying the fans are being milked on two fronts. Firstly, by the vastly over priced tickets costs that Irish promoters charge (at a time when the Euro/Dollar swing is very much in their favour) and, secondly, by the fact that some people have paid a lot of money to travel across Europe to concerts only to discover those same concerts may now be on their doorstep.
Announcing all of the wInter tour gigs together (if there is an extensive winter tour) would have been considerate to fans.
And good for you if you can afford to see him here and in Nice but not everyone can.

Red Poppy, I agree that its a rip off here for concerts with probably the highest prices in Europe. It cost me about the same to travel to Nice as it did for me to travel to Dublin and stay there for the concert. The ticket price in France was 49 euro.

'The ticket price in France was 49 euro' :?: :?: :?:
And Im sure that Leonard gets the same cut regardless of where the concert is.
The only way that we can stop these high prices is to stop buying the tickets

Red Poppy,

I hope that even though they have revamped The Point, they have left the bullet holes in the stage from the shots you fired at Lou Reed that night.....
