If you don't get tickets straight away, keep trying - I rejected seats twice and got ones I wanted after trying a number of times after the non-availability message came up.

Oh well, made the whole password thing a bit pointless, but no doubt sold loads more newspapers.
Went into three newsagents before I found a copy in stock. Guy behind the counter had the " what the hell is going on" look

I would just like to thank the Guardian for giving the touts a pay day, that was an absolute farce.

LOL you can see by eBay where the tickets went, but it's good to see that loads of genuine Cohen fans got tickets on here (and decent ones at that).
Like I said The Guardian's sales most of increased ten fold today.

What a waste of time it was for me to get to the newsagent at 06:30 to buy their only spare copy of the Guardian.
I know that it's been done with good intentions, but that doesn't make it fair ....
Anyway, good luck getting tickets.
When you can't get out cos your legs don't work, and the newsagent won't deliver to your flatblock because he's been ripped off so often by others, and your friend was going to get you a copy and bring it, AT 10.30!!!!!!!!!. THEN you know the meaning of the word "fair"
Thanks to Alan and Jarkko I just got one of the only two wheelchair slots in the whole place. Next time you get up early Warthog, just trust in this wonderful community before you rush off.

To be fair The Touts aren't stupid. There has been enough talk of The Guardian gig on this forum for Weeks.
They have enough nouse to also probably pick up their own copy of The Guardian.
The post was in good faith.

I am intrigued.
I saw on sale £50 tickets for a 'very steep, very high up' Gallery, just as at O2. However, this is Manchester Opera House ... and when we all tried to get tickets earlier in the year, the seating plan showed only stalls and circle at that venue.
So: is the Gallery a figment of Ticketmaster's imagination ... or, for the three other Manchester concerts, is the venue not being filled to capacity?
If the latter, some organiser is risking being lynched ...

I suspect that by effectively holding back a quarter of the total tickets for these Manchester dates for a couple of weeks, the Guardian offer will have actually reduced demand for touts' tickets somewhat.
Now all the tickets have been sold, I imagine the prices will go even crazier.

Well The Guardian offer was for 1,600 tickets only.
Ticketmaster seems to be good at holding tickets back. Me thinks that The Gallery tickets are being held back once the rush for eBay tickets has died down.

John,
The touts can buy a paper too, I was only trying to help the members of this Forum, I won't make the same mistake again!
Sorry if you missed out on a ticket.
