I got tickets for Saturday the 7th. I will also be the one crying... Orchestra WW right of Centre. I couldn't get the $250 it kept telling me to come again. But to be in in the same place as Leonard Cohen is more than I have ever dreamed.
I am new at the forum but not to the leonardcohenfiles. I religiously read every category. On Monday I came to the files looking for the lyrics of One of Us Cannot be Wrong and that's when I found out that Leonard Cohen was touring! I have not been able to sleep since then... hopefully I can sleep tonight
See You in Toronto , I will be driving from Boston.
Thats funny cause me seeing that he was touring was a fluke too. I has looked online to see on Youtube if they had uploaded the event for his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame......And he was there....Then I started reading the comments and someone had wrote that he was touring so I came to this web site and saw that it was true. Me too I am new to the forum, but not to the Leonardcohenfiles. I never even knew about the codes for the pre-sale ! Never done it before! So glad i did! So glad you guys posted it too!!!!!!!!!!! You have really made my day! Actually more then a day! - LIFE!
Poor Leonard - He's going to have a bunch of people crying there hearts out!
We just got 2 for Sat (ORCH16, row V), so thrilled! My husband and I got married a year ago and never took a honeymoon, so this will be it! Also considering St. John's and Dublin.
I just bought a $95 ticket, BALC3-U-36. Wonder who my neighbors will be. It's not the best seat in the house but I like it because it's front-ish balcony, an aisle seat, center-left-center, and oddly there are no seats in front of it. Very nice. Wish I could have sprung for a more expensive seat, but this one already leaves me with $6 in my bank acct until my next salary. Oops..hehe.
Here's a link to another Sony Centre seating chart where each seat is numbered. Though the jpg quality is poor, it's a little more specific than the Sony Centre pdf. http://cftoronto.eservus.com/snapupload ... Centre.jpg
To Jarkko and whomever else worked to arrange a pre-sale, I give a heartfelt thanks.
Thanks to Jarkko and Leonard's management for the presale offer. There we three presales that started this morning at the same instant, and I feel fortunate to have tickets for this show.
I jumped right in as soon as tickets went on sale, but did not see any $250 tickets. These must have disappeared within seconds. I also dialed in to the Sony Centre box office a few minutes before the sale (I was surprised to get in at all), and had a very helpful agent search for me in her system at the same time I clicked around in multiple Ticketmaster web pages. I came up with better seats, and neither of us could find anything in the center section so I decided to purchase what I had on screen before the time limit expired. It was all done in a few minutes.
The Sony Centre (previously known as the Hummingbird Centre and before that as the O'Keefe Centre) is an excellent venue, with great acoustics and sight lines. I heard Leonard perform there twice in 1993 (in fact this is the ONLY place I've heard Leonard perform), and it seemed right to return there for one more.
I live in Oregon now, and I'm hoping that the US portion of the tour will include a date in Portland.
I had 2 browsers going at once. I did get the $250 tickets in both windows on the first try. I started the checkout with the ones I got, and by the time I clicked on the "Search again" the other ones were gone. I figured out that they lasted about 90 seconds - 2 minutes before they were gone.
There were tickets throughout the venue, but they went pretty fast.
We got ours and can't wait to hit the road. I forgot what password I had used to log in orginally to the ticketmaster site so as I was trying to get logged in, the time limit on the tickets elapsed. I never could remember what I had used. I hope someone who got mezzaine left center enjoys them. I had to go back in and log in under my wife's email address - after having to look it up and go through the whole process and log in under hers. Using automatic log-ins for emails or speed dial numbers for actual phone numbers has killed my memory. We got seats a little further back but the centre looks like a fairly intimate setting so it shouldn't be back.
I did go back and redo my ticketmaster account log-in so I will be prepared when the next round of announcements comes. We are looking at the possibility of heading to Europe but I hate the thought of going to one of those mega concert halls (like London's O 2 - that looks huge) or being at an outdoor festival in the rain.
My wife is kind of short so we opted for the balcony - not that Leonard fans are the kind to stand on their chairs during the entire concert (I have been to those). Plus, last concert I went to there were two women behind me thought that I went there to hear them sing along with the performer.
Let's make a pact - let Leonard and his backup singers sing and the rest of us only sing along with him at home while we listen to his CDs.

First of all yeah!!!!!! So glad that we got tickets. I was on ordering first thing this morning. Went with the 2 $125 tickets about 1 minute in and got row YY. Of course grabbed those. 8 hours later I just got home and checked and there are still tickets available for $125. In fact they are better, row W? Don't get me wrong I am thrilled to get the tickets and just be in, but ticketmaster has always been a mystery:)
