Hello everyone,

yes, thank you so much for the organization of what is no doubt going to be a splendid celebration! Now, I don't want to sound over-active, we are going to see quite a bit of one another anyway (and I truly look forward to that), and maybe I have just missed something there - but is there anything planned for after the concert, too?
Thanks again!

Hi and great to hear such enthusiasm in advance!!
We have not really thought about any gathering after the concert on Monday, the main problem is that for some people (working the next day) it may be too late because remember that in Leonard's average, his concert may be more than 3 hours long, so it would take us far beyond midnight... Anyway, we could discuss it during the lunch on Monday and see if that venue would possibly open for us at night as well, even though it may be too much of the same place, or look for another pub. Count me in for late-nite partying after these extraordinary Celebrations and memorable Concert!!
Best regards,
Jordi

I have never been to Barcelona either and I thought the concert on Leonard's Birthday was a great reason to go! Looking forward to the festivities and meeting other forum members and of course the concert. See you all there!

For your interest, here is a map of the venue as it will be configured for the lunch on Monday 21st September, so you get an idea of the place...

Image

You can take your seats freely as you get in. If you already know the group of people you would like to be together, it may be a good idea to meet at the entrance and then come in together. Also, we should note that the Far-East and Far-West tables may be a little farther than it seems on the map, they are indeed in a separate corridor connecting the main room. I hope you enjoy it, I'm sure it will be a memorable two-days!!

Because of a reasonable request of Sony/Legacy, we cannot sell tickets for the exhibition of "Isle of Wight", for this reason we could not assume the booking of a screening room with capacity over 100 people seated. Jorcx also wants to offer his tribute concert with free-entrance.

So we keep the Vivaldi as our meeting point for all activities. This place offers 40 seats facing the stage, the rest of people will locate as comfortably as possible around. Despite this pub environment that facilitates the meeting and use the bar, we hope that during the projection and the concert we keep silent. We really have a limit of capacity, our desire has been to accommodate all people. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Sala Vivaldi just charge one right price for the lunch, other facilities that they give us will be sponsored with the bar service.

On Sunday from 18:30 to 22:30 "Free time". Sala Vivaldi has a fixed activity on Sundays at this time, dance school. It is their faithful people and we must to respect. You can enjoy a lot of activities at this time in Barcelona; You already have met new friends, you has already met new people, "Well I hope I see you out there on the corner". We also suggest dinner or watch the Montjuïc Magic Fountain.

On Monday at 13:00 will be "Opening doors and accreditation" for lunch, this means that the tag will be provided to you and we will collect the 30 € for the lunch.

The Local Team and the Sala Vivaldi thought to assign a place for everyone in the tables for lunch based on their country, also to facilitate access and avoid clutter. But "a person with experience in cohenites events" recommends leaving free accommodation in order to make the smooth relationship easier.

We see that "Menu Option B - Pica-pica (tapas style)" clearly won in the poll that we hung in Choice the Leonard Cohen 75 Menu - Sep. 21 2009 Barcelona This will report to Sala Vivaldi. We love to share too.

At 15:30 "Birthday cake and Toast" will be the special moment to raise our glasses and drink to honour Leonard. The drink is a glass of cava (Catalan champagne).

From this point onwards (after the Coffees) any further request for drink, or something else, will have to be paid individually.

We thank Maarten and Jarkko for their help and specially Pere from Sala Vivaldi for all the facilities offered, Pere is a musician who understands and supports us with patience, too many mailings and visits.

The Local Team is Chema, Guadalupe, Jorcx, Lluïsa, Meritxell, Someone from Barcelona and Toni
