Good morning, Rachel
There's a bit of kismet going on here because this song was on my mind before I read your question
But you called me and I folded
like you knew I'd do
You called my ace, my king, my bluff
Okay, you win, enough's enough
~ Never Any Good

Steven & Bev, you are both correct!
And I love that kismet thing, Bev - it does seem to happen now & again, doesn't it!!
Steven, I also thought "poker face" referred to an impassive expression, so I agree with what you said about smiling being more of a "bluff", & that's what made me think of the verse in Never Any Good!

Thanks Rachel, that was a quick answer and seeing that I'm still here and have a question already prepared, if Steven doesn't mind I'll ask this -
Now can you please name a song about inadequacy?
(Yeah, kismet, serendipity is a strange and interesting phenomenon, isn't it

)

No worries, Ruth! Language can be a tricky thing, & we all get things a little confused now & then. . .It certainly wasn't meant as criticism - just clarification.
It's good to have you in the game!!
Editing: this was a reply to Ruth's post, which is now gone, but I guess I'll leave my reply anyway. . .

Hi uncleerwinone,
Missed the now deleted post, so I can only conjecture by the posts by you and holydove (the two posts
immediately before this one) what it was about. No criticism was intended
whatsover. And, as holydove
said, "It's good to have you in the game!!

" Thanks for the enjoyable question.

Hi B4real,
Is the song "Heart With No Companion"?

Sorry Steven, I can see where you’re coming from but I have another song in mind.
The narrator of this song says he was inadequate or ineffective or pretty much hopeless or useless.
He says this sixteen times in the song and those words are repeated in the song title.

Is this one good enough: "Never Any Good"

It sure is adequately good enough, Ruth
I had that song in my mind and ready for my next post when I answered Rachel’s question. Interesting bit of kismet
Over to you now!

Thanks Bev,
Hi Steven, since you lost out on your win the last time with me, here is your chance to take over the game if this is right with you.

Hi uncleerwinone,
Thanks, but will pass on asking a question at this time. Please go right ahead if you like. If not, I'll try to
ask one tomorrow if there isn't one in place. I appreciate the courtesy.

No problem Steven.
LC is not a stranger when it comes to domestic chores. Please name 2 songs mentioning this activity.

Hi uncleerwinone,
Could the songs be "Democracy" and "Night Comes On"?
"Democracy" has these lines:
from the homicidal bitchin'
that goes down in every kitchen
to determine who will serve and who will eat.
"Night Comes On" this one:
We were locked in this kitchen

Hi Steven,
your location is very suitable for the activities I have in mind.
