Hello my mountainside friends. It was exactly this day last month that i climbed that whole mountainside with you and since then I got to Barcelona and Turkey, talk about packing a lot in in a month :)
I see there is a Dublin meet up now for us LC fans on saturday... is this party ever going to end? I think not.

Why don't you all come over for the meet up :) :) :) We will find an Elvis lookalike to serve the beer if you do

Tinds it was a month ago wasn't it! Your life sounds like one long holiday. Excellent. I'd love to join the Irish gathering but can't afford any more galavanting about this year. See you next time I cross the Irish Sea. (Don't forget to get Deirdre along next week. And Mambo, Sheila, Helen, Brid.) (Damn, wish I could come.)

Well after all my galavanting ( is that how you spell it?) the money tree is drying up here too. We will probably all be nursing one drink for the whole evening :) .

According to dictionary.com you can spell it gal - a - vant, or gal -l - i- -vant (two 'l's if you spell it with an 'i', well you learn something every day). Either way, we can't do it no more, Tinds. Have a great time and take a moment raise your one glass to that brilliant weekend we had. x.

Loneliness is not to be alone, but to love others in vain. Or on the train? ;-)

Oh Ken!

Now Pete needs to write a sequel for sure. That is hysterical.

Variation on a theme (The Runaway Train)

T'was in the year 2009 on that old Great Snowdon line,
When the summer wind was very still,
And Paula she froze, her hands very cold, when the brakes wouldn't hold,
And the 14:30 came roaring down the hill -- oh!
The runaway train came down the track and Paula was blue,
The runaway train came down the track and she was blue,
The runaway train came down the track, she held her breath as we slapped her back,
And she blew, blew, blew, blew, blew.

And Mambo she said the train must halt but she blew,
And Anne and Judith said the train must halt but she blew,
And Judy and Liz said the train must halt -- they said it was all Paula's fault,
And she blew, blew, blew, blew, blew.

Then Paula rang the bell and she blew,
Then Paula rang the bell and she blew,
Then Paula rang and rang the bell -- and Pete said "You did like hell!"
And she blew, blew, blew, blew, blew.

And Pete he got an awful fright when she blew,
And Pete he got an awful fright when she blew,
Pete he got an awful fright -- she throttled him and turned him white,
And blue, blue, blue, white and blue.

And Ken was standing in the way when she blew,
And Ken was standing in the way when she blew,
And Ken was standing in the way, to him was just another day,
And she blew, blew, blew, blew, blew.

And Linda said there'd be a wreck, that be true,
And Linda said there'd be a wreck, that be true,
And Linda said there'd be a wreck, as Paula still throttling Pete's poor neck,
And she blew, blew, blew, blew, blew.

The runaway train went over the hill and she blew,
And Paula she jumped, for that we'll give her her due,
She landed on mountaineer Ken but we're not sure exactly when,
all such a hullabaloo loo loo loo loo
