I thought I just posted something but ....where is it.. We are here in Lisbon--beautiful city. Within walking distance I believe of Cais de Sodre. and Hennessy's . Will ascertain tomorrow. Looking so forward to Saturday.

Now that I have my tickets I just want to confirm a couple of things.

Can someone confirm the location of the concert. I know it's at Passeio Maritimo de Algés‎ but looking on Googlemaps it seems like a big car park and empty plot. Is this going to be an outdoor event?
Will there be seating?

I just want to be sure we are appropriately prepared.

Thanks.

Yes, it's on that empty lot on the map. It will be in the open, but I don't know if there will be seats or not. As it is very close to the river, I'd expect it to get humid and a bit colder at night, so a light jacket or a long-sleeved T-shirt might be a good idea.

Hope it helps!

I don't think they'll be any seating- And believe me, I've had an earful about that from my partner already.

Hope there won't be any 'moshing', like here (WARNING: There are many, many rude words uttered in the following clip):

...I assume that's the same stage setup; it's certainly on the same lot you see on the Google maps.

I don't think my wife is going to be impressed with no seating

Probably explains why the tickets are cheap in comparison to the other venues he's played so far.

Re: moshing, this is a LC concert, i really don't think there will be any of that behavior,
beside Lou Reed is also playing in Lisboa the same night, so i guess (hope) the more radical elements will be at his gig!
roll on tomorrow night
cheers

LOL, I can't see that there will be any moshing. I expect quite an older crowd. I still can't believe that they won't be putting any seating out considering the 'mature' audience expected.

I'll mosh with ya, Tim! Hmmm....Two people moshing; Is that like the sound of one hand clapping?

Hi folks!

I just received this comment from a lad who attended to Leonard's Edinburgh concert 2 days ago:
"he's such a charmer. i'm twenty three, he's seventy three and i'm not sure who looks better."

I can hardly wait 'til I put myself on the road down south! See you in the Hennessy's ;-)
Cheers,

Setting off now. Got an overnight bus to Madrid to catch and then a plane to Lisbon. Friend's taken the spare so all is good.
Maybe see some of you in this pub tomorrow.
