Tinders, I have no video, sorry to alarm you! Like most things in life, you had to be there for your recital. I'm sure, equally, that a video couldn't capture the experience of Pete and Henning singing that last night with all of us sometimes listening reflectively and sometimes joining in wholeheartedly. Or how it was when Ken prompted us in turn to recite our favourite Leonard Cohen lines and experiences. (Or how Henning laughed when Phil told his favourite line and answered Henning's objection to it!) Or Joe's spirited turn on guitar, including that extraordinary performance of a song I'd never heard, followed by Elvis on the mike, and finally half the room up dancing (not me, I was in a quiet mood by then). I wouldn't want a video. I prefer my sweet memories. x.

Somewhat late, partly because I've been busy since Snowdonia but mostly because I'm lazy, but here are my photos from the weekend (click each picture to go to the gallery of photos from that day). Thanks to Diane for organising it (I'm not being modest, I really did very little myself) and everyone for being there and having a great time.

Great set of pics, Tim.

Now I see that not only was it the hat afterall, but Sinikka nicked my hat and replaced it with an exact replica.

I had forgotten that when we arrived back at the carpark it was full of those gorgeous vintage trucks and lorries. We should have driven back to Barmouth in one of them:-)

Wonderful photographs, Tim. I think I did too much sitting and chatting and missed seeing the gardens. :( Another visit is called for.
Diane , thanks for the clarification on those vehicles. I thought Tim had gone off at some point to a classic car rally!

Tim, I remember quite a few vintage cars coming towards us on our ride that day. Mostly old MG's. :)

It is now exactly thirty days since our meet up in Barmouth and three days since the last posting on this thread . Oh how quickly you all forget . Everyday life has taken over . You have all gone back to your previous existence . But I refuse to let the memory of that weekend fade into oblivion because I CANT FORGET
I STUMBLED OUT OF BED
GOT READY FOR THE STRUGGLE
IT WAS JUST A MONTH AGO
THAT I TIGHTENED UP MY GUT
I SAID THIS CANT BE ME MUST BE MY DOUBLE
NOW I CANT FORGET I CANT FORGET
THE MOUNTAIN THAT WE CLIMBED

I WAS BURNING OFF THE POUNDS
HEADING TO THE SUMMIT
I'VE GOT THIS OLD ADDRESS
OF A CAFE AT THE TOP
IT IS HIGH AND FINE AND FREE
YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN US
AND I CANT FORGET I CANT FORGET
SO I DO REMEMBER THAT

I'D BE THERE TODAY WITH A BIG BOUQUET OF FRIENDSHIP
I'VE GOT THIS MIND THAT RUNS ON MEMORY
AND I PROMISE CROSS MY HEART THEY'LL NEVER CATCH US
AND IF THEY DO I WILL TELL THEM IT WAS ME

I LOVED YOU IN MY LIFE AND WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT IT
THE SUMMERS ALMOST GONE AND THE WINTERS TURNING UP
THE SUMMERS GONE BUT A LOT GOES ON FOREVER
NOW I CANT FORGET , I CANT FORGET
AND I WILL REMEMBER THAT
