You're so polite (as usual)

Well established=

Well! Is he blasted?
(An Irish phrase meaning 'tired and emotional)

Into culture at the moment, went to The Irish Film Institute, and The National Gallery of Ireland.
Really good coffes and toilets!
Disappointed with the NG, nothing by Francis Bacon!?!
See you Wednesday evening, I think

joe... as most scholars of irish history know inis oirr aka CRAGGY ISLAND was the scene of one the most pivotal moments in irish history..when we are there on the friday is there any chance of us as a group trying in some small way help commemorate this momentous event?...ta ken

Just a quick update from Eija and me (I have received several emails about our final plans).
As I have mentioned also here, Rauli and Jenni are in the family way; the estimated time was already last Thursday.
She will be our first grandchild, and Eija and I very much would love to be around when it happens.
We have all travel connections and accommodation reserved for Galway (the flight is tomorrow, on Tuesday) but we still don't know if we are going to travel or not.
It will be a last minute decision.
The other members of our team (Sinikka, Pirkko, Martti) will in any case take the flight tomorrow.

Jarkko, as Rauli is an IT guy he surely could install a webcam and make it possible for you to witness the scenario from a Galway bar with a guinnes in your hand. No ?

We all will have a drink on your account in Galway, no matter if you are there or not. We will hand the barman your address.

We will make it two drinks each in case the new earthling arrives on September 21.

True Ken there is an old Yorkshire custom that says this but in Yorkshire folklore it was replaced a long time ago by another more sensible custom that says a Yorkshireman should never interfere in the generosity of others as it may cause offence and anyway my racing pigeons are trained only to carry money on the return journey never on the outward trip
Frugally yours

We are still in Finland while the other Finns in our group are under way to Dublin. Eija and I kept our plans open until the very last minute.
The birth of our granddaughter is now VERY close. We don't want to be far away from Jenni and Rauli at this very important moment, so we decided to stay in Finland.
It was a difficult decision as we so much wanted to see all those great places in Galway in the best possible company, and Joe has worked so hard to make it all happen.
