I'm due to land in Dublin at 9.00 so will look out for any familiar faces. Hope to get the 9.45 bus to Galway. That's assuming I can find a small enough case to fit the hand baggage rules!
See you all soon. :D

The walk from the RyanAir arrival hub to the Galway bus stop is good training for the following days walks.
Allow yourself at least 30 mins and no bars en route.

Dave, did you notice the location of the Aer Lingus arrivals? I deliberately chose them rather than contribute to Ryanairs profits!

No matter, I shall be travelling in my hiking boots

Margaret... when I flew in to Dublin on Tuesday, the plane arrived in Terminal 1... but you had to walk to Terminal 2 to get out! Twenty minutes of my life....

Interesting! My flight details says I land at Terminal 2 in Dublin. So does that mean 20 minutes plus 30 minutes to get to the bus stop? Getting a bit confused now  I might be taking the later bus to Galway!

no margaret...it's a good twenty minute walk from the ryanair hub to the buses and there are travelators most of the way...but i think you are pushing it a bit to be expecting to catch a bus in 45 minutes from the scheduled landing time....it's a quite a long taxi from landing to the arrival gate and then it can take anything from 10 minutes to 15 minutes to de-plane...but the best of luck...and don't forget there's always another bus...ta ken

i think as the weekend gets closer the weather forecasts should be more reliable..

looking at the BBC and accuweather forecasts i think we can take it as read that there will some rain sometime over the weekend

so packing some light waterproofs and appropriate footwear would be a good idea methinks....

and remember as some old fella once told me in a dublin pub as stood in front of him drenched to the skin after being caught in a heavy shower... 'we don't have rain in ireland only liquid sunshine'.....ta ken

Ta Ken,

I would settle for this ....as long as we don't have any downpours while we are walking we will be OK......no major rain promised :)

Joe.
