Joe let me have a preview of the schedule and this is all I can say to potential successors, from Barcelona to Budapest and more, Joe has set the bar really high. Though I don't know how he will arrange the Guinness and the live music during the walking stops. But who am I to question Joe's plan. Today in a month this hour we will have the proof.

looks like the news of our weekend has been leaked...
...locals have already been busy on the approach roads to the city...somehow they believe that unruly flag waving wild-eyed drunken crowds of borussia dortmund football fans will be descending on galway...goodness knows where they got that idea from...ta ken

Joe, here is a last minute idea for your schedule which is due to be published today. Is it possible to seperate the nitwits from the football experts ? Bartechnicalwise ?

This is a GOOD idea Henning!!!
I can help with some efficient drugs in morning coffee or tea to make sure they keep apart while walking or drinking.
It's always useful to have a doctor available.....

Happy birthday, Jarkko. We will have a few drinks on you in Galway.
I wonder if Ken's long term weather forecasting tool has already got some infos about our biennal Leonard Cohen Long Walking Weekend weather.
And Bea, is there a limit to the number of treatments per person that you offer for free ?

...henning no long term weather forecast needed for this trip..this is the west coast of ireland....as they say in galway..
(excuse my gaelic)....'más rud é nach bhfuil sé ag cur báistí ansin tá sé ceachtar ach stop nó ar tí tosú arís'
roughly translated...'if it's not raining then it has just stopped or is about to start again'
so don't forget to pack your your waterproofs

henning..i'm not usually a supporter of social segregation of any kind but if your suggestion of separating the 'nitwits' from the rest of the group is to be adopted as official policy could i suggest that the 'nitwits' make themselves known to the rest of the walkers by wearing something from the 'nitwit's' merchandising store such as the shirt i recently found on sale in croatia
