Paula, grow up and accept that a thread can go for eternity as energy
You will not stop it nor will i

I refute that entirely George. We are talking about an issue of respect here. Respect fro my feelings is just as important although I am a newcomer as it is for respecting the feelings of old people.
Never forget that Jesus loves *all* people, even ugly ones.

Now you
know I'm not female bashing. Initiating a thread does not equate to ownership of a thread, any more than initiating a conversation on one topic, which merged into others, would justify your ordering, via a ruling, that those present stop talking or leave the room. It really has nothing to do with your being new or old.
And, of course, your last sentence always bids toward a windup regarding all your previous ones

well that is what I believe in since being born again. I struggle to accpet that he would love soemone who disobeys my polite requests but that is certainly what I try to believe anyway.

Dear Paula H ~
Having become "Born Again" in my past, I sense [that if you're really serious with this issue] that you've somehow misconstrued its essence and intent. "Disobeys" and "requests" are unrelated concepts. "Comply with/honour" have to do with "requests." "Disobey" has to do with "orders" and "rulings." Mixed metaphors at best with whatever you're trying to convey.
The other issue, of course, has to do with your "struggle" to "accept" that He would "love someone" despite such a minor infraction. Should His love be so fickle, the Christian world might better consider someone else to follow. In a Born Again position, it should be easy to understand His unwavering love for all, despite the most heinous of transgressions. Now, to consider not ending a thread, as one such, requires a conceptual leap beyond all earthly measure.
Did you presume that with becoming "Born Again" you would be granted special privilege with having all your wishes and orders fulfilled? I haven't seen any mention of prayer. I'm certain you can understand my skepticism regarding your stated position as a Christian.

paula, respect cannot conquer love or the prime motivator
for these are like the weeds to the sunflower
accept the thread is for all
and we will accept your feelings

Neither Lizzytish or George seem to have a clue about real Christianity and rules. There si a hierarchy of obedience which you appear to reject in an almost Heathen approach to your religious obligations. No wonder Jesus was so cross.
Rules?

Paula,

perhaps you should get down from your soap box, high horse or is it a metaphorical cross? Christianity and rules

I think you are projecting your own cultural baggage here(and we all have our own brand). In my experience of life the most effective christians are the ones who make no mention of their belief or profess their identification with the "saviour". The people I meet who exercise compassion and agape (love) in their daily life are the "real" christians. They belong to no church and they make no demands on others.
have a nice day,

At least you still love puns. And, of course, I have no religious obligations, but thank you for trying to give me some. Now, as to this hierarchy of obedience that you speak of.....just who is it that placed you above me?

Could it have been Jesus Himself whose body was a banana muffin and whose blood was strawberry jam or jelly?

Ah! At last we made it back to the muffins.....and I know His muffins were for peace.

Yeah, great, back to the muffins. Lemme see, if we can find a way to get back to Leonard, and to War and Peace as well...
Jesus' banana muffin body was a lever that had been thrown in the cosmos, and the "Prince of Peace looked down at the people beneath him", but the lever had been thrown, so
nothing ever would be the same again. And He looked down at them and He knew for certain, He knew for sure, He knew for all time, there ain't no cure for love.
After all, Paula H, "Love is the answer"...

PS: "Yes, we have no bananas..."

Of it course it could be that Paula H merely wished to reinvigorate this thread?

Dear Paula H.
this is just to prove you're not in control of all the muffins in the world (not even the most illiterate President in history is).... Just a hint: try to get some muffin with cherry taste. Deeeee-lish-ous - (to prevent linguistic problems: delicious)
(And now my inability to resist takes over: delizzytish-ous

) ... Sorry Elizabehtlehem...

oops, i did it again..
