I never called for a 'slaughter', the word I used was 'interaction'. This was after Bee posted. Not before. Also, I'm never completely blind to a sense of humour, it just depends on whether it's truly humour or sarcasm disguised as humour.
Linda, it is true, you never called for "slaughter," I did it myself. Was it a humor or what, don't know it myself, but right now I am laughing.

And I understood there is something hitching between Ln and Lz too. That because of this she called for a slaughter and Bee answered, cause I understood that there is another thing between Bee and Lz also.

Hey Chock,

Don't worry...Lz will get around to you (and Snow) eventually. She's an equal-opportunity brawler. So store up some of your passive aggressiveness. You're going to need it.

That's the odd thing. I think we're all laughing...in our different ways.

YdF, not yet, the time has not come for Snow yet-he is still to be nurtured, as I understand it, that is the regular scenario!
Tchoco has been ignored in that respect, I guess, and she probably will stay ignored. I don't think your prognosis is right this time, doctor!

I never disguise anything.
Take it from me it was sarcasm.

Hmmm...you may be right about Chocko. She hasn't been actually cultivated by Lizzy. Perhaps because they are rivals for dominance on the board. Besides fighting a passive-aggressive poster is like shadow-boxing. It's hard to land a decent punch. Although, I think I have managed one or two.

Snow wrote: Noah Webster was the son of an American settler, and those people were ignorant riff-raff deckhands who had run off to sea because they had not the education to be employed in England as architects or lawyers... If an illiterate Neil Armstrong had settled on the Moon and started a family he might have corrupted 'adviser' yet again - this time to 'advisur'.
So these "riff-raff" (who were too ignorant to be employed in England) ran off to America and are smart enough to eventually go to the moon and emplore Space? Seems to me there's something wrong with your example of stupid Americans. What?

:D Ha! Good point, Nan! I guess if you can figure out how to get to the moon, then start a dictionary, you get to call all the shots! ha!

OK, Linda-of course not, if the scenario has changes in it. Snow is quite good as he is for me. He is very sensitive though-but than again, snow is supposed to be that way-isn't it? Have not touched snow for years-have seen trough the windows of a car-now and than. :(

True : I laughed a lot reading those last posts.

1) Bee, sometimes the Beast is not so well disguised and goes around in full classic outfit including the sulphuric perfume of some of your posts.

Who wants to do the angel, does the beast. As we all know by now. 8)

2) Now what is this legend, over here YDF? I am (was) (will be) not more touched or untouched than any members of this forum and by any of the forum members including Ms. Lz., as I remimber having been a pig that can not appreciate pearls that was trown to her, and moreover a pig with a second grade philosophy. Among other things and among other members of this forum. Well you see, one does not die of ridiculous. As you will not die of having wrote this post. But to your information, the-fool- of-the-king-you never hurt me and never will, as I have first to have respect for somebody to be touched by things they are saying to me. If there is one who did not do it, it was you. Be sure of that. And sleep well. Or maybe I disturbed your happiness for ever. I doubt it.

Finally, Ln my dear Linda. I was answering to Vince, talking about me not you. Many misunderstandings stand on that ground, I believe, for the majority we come here thinking about "me" and the others are thinking that "me" is "you". Very confusing somethings.

Have a nice day people!!! :D

N.S. : Snow, how do you measure an avalanche?

We all have our own, working definitions for things, and when I saw "math" mentioned, I decided to do some regarding the definition of "FLOODING the Forum," as it really didn't align with mine.

On August 8, I initiated a thread ~ this thread ~ to allow for commentary [my own, with anyone else's welcome ~ and brought some of others' along in my initial post] on "Sorrow and Joy in the News" ~ a simple way of avoiding the multiple intiation of threads [others being free to, of course, but I just preferred not to ~ and saw this as a way of keeping commentary (at least mine  ), on general news issues, fairly concentrated in one location]. Not everyone is 'affected' by the news, but I am. That only means that my make-up is different. I tend to 'tear up,' with both happy and sad events.

* I began on August 8, with a celebration of the rescue of 7 men from a Soviet, rescue submersible, with my kudos to the Brits for their expertise in the operation.

* The next thing I posted, also on August 8 [which was what prompted my initiation of the thread ~ to give a logical place for these kinds of news events and sentiments to be situated together], was my expression of sorrow regarding the death of Peter Jennings, a major force in the media, for bringing the U.S. news from other parts of the world, of people too often forgotten.

* The next item, still on August 8, was expressing sorrow about the shooting of five, innocent people on a bus in the mid-east, by an armed 19-year-old boy, who was AWOL from the army of one of those countries [someone clarified for me later which one].

* A bit of discussion ensued regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict regarding the Gaza Strip.

* The next item I posted was another celebration, on August 9, of the successful, 'peopled,' shuttle landing, with a 'woman driver' :D .

* Discussion followed on the Space program.

* On August 10, Tchoc's beautiful comment emerged with some commentary on the environment ~
Nobody will persuade me that the individual power is not as thin and powerful and beautiful as the power of the butterfly's wings.
* On August 15, I expressed my sorrow regarding the inexplicable, Helios Airway tragedy.

* On August 16, Tchoc expressed her joy regarding clean-car regulations happening in California.

* On August 28, I titled my individual posting "The weather goes crazy :( " and, first, expressed my sorrow about the massive flooding and deaths occurring in Europe, with concern that Forum members may know people affected.

* On August 28, I made my first comment on Hurricane Katrina, and its being likened to the previous, extremely deadly Hurricane Camille....and expressed my extreme concern.

* I announced and began a 'running account' for my own record [and for anyone else who may be interested in reading] of the coming hurricane.

************************************************************

On this thread, which I initiated, out of a total of 221 postings [excluding this one], I have entered a total of 57 on that thread. I have certainly FLOODED my self-initiated THREAD, with commentary directly related to its expressed purpose ~ found in its title. Of that 57, 45 related to Hurricane Katrina [or responding to others' input directed against me].

************************************************************

On August 30, Greg initiated his own thread, specifically titled "Katrina, obviously believing that this hurricane merited coverage in the Forum.

On August 31, I also entered into Greg's, self-initiated thread, with my concern regarding Squidgy, a Leonard Cohen fan, personally known by some Forum and non-Forum, but Cohen community, members.

Since that time, out of the total of 133 postings on Greg's ~ directly related ~ "Katrina" thread, I have entered a total of 29; so, if anyone wishes, they can consider my having "FLOODED" that THREAD, as well.

************************************************************

Unfortunately, a disproportionate number of my postings on these, two threads have related to my inclination to ~ and manner of ~ posting on either thread, to whatever degree and in whatever manner is deemed 'inappropriate' by some other members of the Forum, as well as the fallout related to this onslaught by others, and the ensuing dispute.

************************************************************

I will continue with this after I return from an appointment.

************************************************************

So, as an area of our country, the geographical size of Great Britain has been virtually demolished and obliterated, as a result of wind, water, and uncaring, governmental entities, I have "FLOODED" two THREADS in one section of the Forum.

Since August 28, when I first started my own accounting of Hurricane Katrina, and expressing the reported potential; and then the reported destruction; and, finally, my feelings about the areas struck, the people and animals affected, the destruction, and the government's horrendous lack of response, my focus has been on Hurricane Katrina.

Elsewhere on the Forum, however, I have [since August 28] entered a total of 63 postings, spread over a total of 25 separate threads, in varying sections. The majority of the threads have been Leonard Cohen and/or LC Files related.

If anyone chooses, I'll leave it up to them to assess their own level of activity, and nature of participation here, since the same date [or, overall, for that matter]. Though I am taking the time to delineate it, I do not feel apologetic about my own.

I love all of your posts, Lizzytysh. You are a delightful person, alert and communicative.
