And when I saw Red Socks, I thought that Arlene had chosen that colour as a take-off pun on Red Rocks ... I guess because I haven't kept up on Dino and his socks of any colour .

This is especially for Arlene!

A couple of days after the fabulous Detroit concert in May, Dino posted on Twitter that he had left ALL his socks in the hotel at the last city...or something to that effect....and was now "sockless"! Well, ever one to attempt to right a wrong, and knowing which hotel everyone had stayed at, I took it upon myself to call the hotel.

"Hello, my name is....... I believe that Leonard Cohen, his band and crew were staying at your hotel a couple of nights ago when they were here for a HUGE concert in Detroit at the Fox Theatre. One of the members of the band seems to have left a few socks in his room and I was wondering if I might be able to pick them up so I can forward them to him."

"Who is this?????"

"Well, once again, my name is......... I'm a great fan of Leonard Cohen and I would really like to help this band member."

"BAND member?...I don't know what you're talking about, but we have no socks anywhere!"

"Oh, well, yeah, sure, okay..thanks."

I am sure Dino's socks are now being worn by several individuals in the "tenderloin" district of downtown Deeetroit!

And this....dear friends, is where Arlene and her red Polo's entered the picture! We can't have our Dino sockless!

Now that is a funny story about trying to retrieve Dino's socks for him. I can just imagine the bewildered clerk on the other end of the phone. Thanks for sharing this. Loved it!

This is Gary Jules...saw him on tv recently, he had a Christmas number 1 in 2003 with 'Bad World', (yep, I've been watching lots of those "a look back at the top 101 *insert word here* of the decade" type programs on tv over the holidays....anyway I thought this guy reminded me of someone....?!

WoW, he sure does, BV. At first glance, I thought it was and was wondering how he'd managed it... tattoo and all... and if it was part of the sleeve of his new cd. Good find .

ps..there is a remote similarity, but minus the tattoos...and imo, Dino is MUCH better looking!
