Blessed are you who, among the numberless swept away in terror, permitted a few to suffer carefully. Who put a curtain over a house so that a few could lower their eyes. Blessed be Ishmael, who taught us how to cover ourselves. Blessed are you who dressed the shivering spirit in a skin. Who made a fence of changing stars around your wisdom. Blessed be the teacher of my heart, on his throne of patience. Blessed are you who circled desire with a blade, and the garden with fiery swords, and heaven and earth with a word. Who, in the terrible inferno, sheltered understanding, and keeps her still, beautiful and deeply concealed. Blessed are you who sweetens the longing between us. Blessed are you who binds the arm to the heart, and the will to the will. Who has written a name on a gate, that she might find it, and come into my room. Who defends a heart with strangerhood. Blessed are you who sealed a house with weeping. Blessed be Ishmael for all time, who covered his face with the wilderness, and came to you in darkness. Blessed be the covenant of love between what is hidden and what is revealed. I was like one who had never been caressed, when you touched me from a place in your name, and dressed the wound of ignorance with mercy. Blessed is the covenant of love, the covenant of mercy, useless light behind the terror, deathless song in the house of night.
Beautiful Beatitudes for the Seven Women. But... Ishmael?

Thank you for posting that. I have not read the Book of Mercy. But... ISHMAEL?

Of course, it's Leonard's poetic license... it's written in the scriptures, and it's written there in blood.

"This song is called Alice's Restaurant,
"and it's about Alice, and the restaurant,
"but Alice's Restaurant is not the name of the restaurant,
"that's just the name of the song,
"and that's why I called the song Alice's Restaurant."

...

"That was horrible. If you want to end war and stuff you got to sing loud.
"I've been singing this song now for four years. I could sing it
"for another nine hundred and ninety-six years.

"I'm not proud... or tired.

"So we'll wait till it comes around again, and this time with four-part harmony...

"...And feelin'.

"We're just waitin' for it to come around is what we're doing.

Behold a Lamb of God. Of course, the above is really a metaphorical composite photograph of the fifth Lamp on the Candlestick, the fifth Spirit "before God's throne", called the Church of Sardis.

Her now completed task is described as follows in scripture:
"And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit."

"And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit."

"And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power."

"And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads."

"And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment (was) as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man."

"And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them."

"And the shapes of the locusts (were) like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads (were) as it were crowns like gold, and their faces (were) as the faces of men."

"And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as (the teeth) of lions."

"And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings (was) as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle."

"And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power (was) to hurt men five months."

"And they had a king over them, (which is) the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue (is) Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath (his) name Apollyon." [KJV-Bible - Revelation 9:1-11]
And the message from scripture today for this formidable Spirit:
"And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead."

"Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God."

"Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee."

"Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy."

"He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." [KJV-Bible - Revelation 3:1-6]
What I hear is that if she does watch, she will know when that hour arrives. Though I've always been a cup-half-full type.

Before she became naked before you, Leonard, the great lady above wrote:
[In His message to the Church of Laodicea] Jesus is coming in to give the individual members of the church the richest blessings, if they will open the door to Him. He does not once call them Babylon, nor ask them to come out. But He says, "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten" (with messages of reproof and warning) (Rev. 3:19).

These reproofs I am not ignorant of. I have given warnings because the Spirit of the Lord has constrained me to do so, and have uttered reproofs because the Lord has given me words of reproof. I have not shunned to declare the whole counsel of God, which has been given me for the church.

I will say in the fear and love of God, I know the Lord has thoughts of love and mercy to restore and heal them of all their backslidings. He has a work for His church to do. They are not to be pronounced Babylon, but to be as the salt of the earth, the light of the world. They are to be the living messengers to proclaim a living message in these last days.
She erected around her city not just walls and high fences, but also razor wire, tank traps, and those odd looking iron things that Rommel used to defend the beaches of Normandy.

But she also left a large crack in it all for the right man:
Attitude to Those Claiming to Have New Light.--Cling close to your Bible, for its sacred truths can purify, ennoble, and sanctify the soul. You must hold the truth and teach it as it is in Jesus, else it is of no value to you. Before the light of God's truth let human opinions and ideas and human wisdom appear as they are in the sight of God,--as foolishness. . .

If a brother differ with you on some points of truth, do not stoop to ridicule, do not place him in a false light, or misconstrue his words, making sport of them; do not misinterpret his words and wrest them of their true meaning. This is not conscientious argument. Do not present him before others as a heretic, when you have not with him investigated his positions, taking the Scriptures text by text in the spirit of Christ to show him what is truth. You do not yourself really know the evidence he has for his faith, and you cannot really clearly define your own position. Take your Bible, and in a kindly spirit weigh every argument that he presents and show him by the Scriptures if he is in error. When you do this without unkind feelings, you will do only that which is your duty and the duty of every minister of Jesus Christ.

Hear Before You Condemn.--When new light is presented to the church, it is perilous to shut yourselves away from it. Refusing to hear because you are prejudiced against the message or the messenger will not make your case excusable before God. To condemn that which you have not heard and do not understand will not exalt your wisdom in the eyes of those who are candid in their investigations of truth. And to speak with contempt of those whom God has sent with a message of truth, is folly and madness. If our youth are seeking to educate themselves to be workers in His cause, they should learn the way of the Lord, and live by every word that proceedeth out of His mouth. They are not to make up their minds that the whole truth has been unfolded, and that the Infinite One has no more light for His people. If they entrench themselves in the belief that the whole truth has been revealed, they will be in danger of discarding precious jewels of truth that shall be discovered as men turn their attention to the searching of the rich mine of God's word.
A man whom she describes as follows:
When the Lord gives a man message, He gives with it something whereby His people may know that the message is from Him. God does not ask his people to believe everyone who comes to them with a message. The Lord sends warnings to His people, not to destroy them, but to correct their errors....
We are living in perilous times. From the light I have, I know that Satan is trying to bring in that which will make people think they have a wonderful work to do. But when God gives a man a message, that man, by his meekness and lowliness, will give evidence that God is working through him. God lives and reigns, and He desires us to walk before Him in humility.
(For such a small woman, she wielded quite the Two-Edged Edged Sword.)

I am not that man. In fact, Spiritually I fear I've been transfigured into the woman herself at about age 17. Like her, when talking about God I cannot retain my lowliness for longer than 5 minutes, my meagre humility inevitably fleeing my enthusiasm every time.

I understand it like this: The Prince of Grecia has fallen for the oldest trick in his own book. He has allowed the Trojan Horse of God to stand in the midst of Babylon, dragged there through a hole in the wall. A modern Sinon will be there to open the door for the warriors hidden within.

I hope I have the right address, the moon has been darkened to such an extent it's difficult to tell these days.

I call way too loudly, but I call clearly.

Leonard and you all call way softly enough - please try calling clearly.

The last will be first, the first will be last. Five are fallen, one is, and one is yet to come... So that means Church Seven is a done deal, Church Six is right here, we and Church Five do Four, Three, Two.... and we all do One together.

All those voices up there in the Tower of Song, all those who see and understand, please step forward, she needs your help. Leonard, she needs those gold-rimmed glasses so she can see clearly again now.

Dear Spirit of Leonard (as opposed to Leonard personally),

I'm Dear Heathering Dear Heather as fast as I can.

"Yet we'll go no more a-roving by the light of the moon..." The moon is just a reflection of the sun, just the sun's avatar during the night and a dim ghost of itself during the day when the sun shines alone.

And that was Lord Byron. I've added him to my list.

And you're just holding the fort.

I think I'm understanding a little, but I've never had to be kind like that. Thank God Jesus didn't have to be kind like that, and thank God you do have to be kind like that.

You've been a lot of places but I don't think you've been where I'm hanging. I searched your room high and low and couldn't find this hook I'm on. Did you take it down? Do you have any idea how intimidating your room has become, by the way? Do you care anymore after all this practicing you've done?

It's time to start caring, is I guess what I'm saying, to your Spirit here at least. That place where you are hanging now is just a city conjured up so you could rest for a bit, sing poor songs, write poor poetry, and win archery competitions. It's been fun, just like your songs say, but as another famous prophet once said: "It ain't over 'til it's over".

OOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....

Take that.

It's quite a kick, leaving crumbs on the floor of your room. :-)

The moon isn't under the same constraints as the sun. She can be light or she can be dark, or anything in between.

I try to leave you alone, but everytime time I go by that Tower I hear this old woman's voice crying "Where's the beef?", and then I heard this rumor that the Romans carted the remnants of the Tribe of Ephraim all the way up to Ireland to pick potatoes for Caesar. Way back when.

Forgive me people please. I should have started with the Sixth Church. I'll do that now...

Hi Gullivor. Okay, I came to Leonard's room, but nearly everyone here has been in there, and the One who's coming next originated letters of concern.

Leonard's prophecies aren't 100%, you know. Some things don't have cracks, I've found.

BTW, if anybody doesn't know it already, I thought maybe I should mention that words like "blood" and "kill" and "death" and "fire" and "brimstone" etc... in the Book of Revelation are metaphorical, not literal. Again, reason until you feel light, not darkness. Check out the Psalms. Try not to be put off by the literal interpretation preachers have preached to scare people to death. As we can see today when "the power of the holy people" is scattered, if they didn't scare us into being a little honest and caring about one another few people would, and nobody would go to church, synagogue, mosque, shrine, temple, etc... except the people who had time to seek God.

If you just don't want to get into the language used at all that's cool too. Ignore me. But remember those words have been humanity's preferred way of seeing life, not God's. To God all live and never die. We weren't created self-aware to die, but to learn to live with one another as unique individuals.

Jesus said: "Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein." [KJV-Bible - Luke 18:17]

Watch a child... most children anyway... They are envelope pushers, innocent, inquisitive, disobedient, curious, convinced of their parent's love and their own immortality - and they thrive on puzzles and games.

Yada yada yada... Like what anybody cares what I have to say. Put it this way: Leonard wouldn't recommend it if it weren't metaphorical, right? It's Spiritual, not literal, blaze of light in every word, some good some not... You'll know. Jesus has "written" God on our hearts.

With our generation, "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great (is) that darkness!" [KJV-Bible - Matthew 6:22-23]

Casey, what have you found that doesn't have a crack?

edited to add

In regards to the sex of the moon
Myra wrote: I was going to say that the moon is not a she, it is a he. I think this, because of the way he loves the earth - always at a bit of a distance - he leaves, but always returns, he can never break away. The moon seems to go through periods of great longing, trying to come very close to the earth and then tries to wander off in another direction and the earth has to hold on to him. Two women can love each other well it's true - but this game the moon and earth play, is a game of man and woman.
okay - I posted it, shall we break from god to talk about the moon?

Light.

Light that gets in also shines out, effectively sealing cracks against invasive lesser lights.

From the standpoint of the human Spirit, I guess as long as we write things down from generation to generation, it takes brighter and brighter Light to get through the cracks that existing light shines out of.

My statement was really just a self-defensive way of saying all I have to offer are crumbs Leonard has already been through. That, and I'm trying not to be redundant. :-)

Light? humm.... 'that's how the light gets in'.

I think you possibly have a good example but, Is light a 'thing', if it is a thing - wouldn't the fact that it needs a crack to get in be it's crack.

Ahh, this I understand,

Once homeless man gave me a bus ticket, because I didn’t have change– that was years ago and I remember it still. If it had been a man in a suit, the gesture would have been long forgotten. I know it sounds horrible taking a bus ticket from a homeless guy, but I kinda know him and if I had said no, I would have hurt his feelings.
When all you have is crumbs, there is no better gift.
