Thank you Ken.
Merry Christmas to you all, my friends.
Let's hope a lot of walking together, at least "virtual" walking.
And remember, if it be you will, Meritxell and me are ready to prepare a 2013 walking weekend!!

I totally agree with you on that Pete but I am afraid the "long may it continue " bit looks somewhat optimistic at the moment as we seem to have run out of contributors . Bloody facebook !!

Jean says I should talk less and listen more so whenever she speaks to me now I listen to a Leonard track instead of answering her back

LC Walking Weekend 2013

Post by Henning »

Happy new year, folks. I hope you are alright and you know what, I hate polls.

The decision has been made by the founder of the LC walking tour, in 2013 we will walk in .....

Connemara, IRELAND

and Joe Costello is the organizer and Galway is the drinking area.

It's Galway 2013 !

Happy New Year Henning .
This is great news about Galway 2013.
We will look forward to welcoming you and many more to Ireland again .
There are plenty of the finest (Perhaps the finest in Ireland!) walks in Connemara .
As Oscar Wilde said " Connemara is a savage beauty"

Oh Sweet Lamb!!!

This surely is an honour for us Irish LC friends.

I just hope we can organise it properly, or we will die trying.

It is fantastic news really and thank you Jarkko and Henning and everyone for having faith in the Irish to hold the walking tour.

Thankfully we have almost 2 years to sort it out and I am sure Joe will know lots of secret stuff about Galway that we don't.

This has put a big smile on my face just thinking about it and I have to say Galway/ Connemara, are the jewels of Ireland.

As the years are passing I hope the walks are shorter and the breaks longer :)

Bernadine - Joe has done a lot of research about his ideas and I am glad that this has come to a decision now. Joe has my ultimate support and I am sure there will be other local folks to help him as well. This is going to be super fun in a place where music plays a dominant role. Isn't that where we should be ?

I believe I will try to go on this walking tour. My heritage is English, Scots-Irish, and Polish; and I've always wanted to go to Ireland. I'm unfamiliar with Galway, but Connemara is the area that I've heard is the best. In two years, I may be in good enough shape for such a walk. And Joe Costello and I have always gotten along well :) .

Excellent news. I'll most definitely attend this! I was just thinking earlier how I haven't been to Connemara is many many years and had made a mental note to rectify that this year but now I know it will be definitely rectified next year :D
