I'm not sure I could cope with a Half Man Half Biscuit version of "First We Take Manhattan"
Although I'm sure they could have a go at "Anthem"

Is there any independant verification of JTS's unlikely claims as to the origins of his nickname? In the dairy trade we call "shorts" the practice of deliberately giving less than a full pint. It happens in pubs as well by the way. It is a despicable habit that diminishes us all and is one of the worst Human Rights Abuses of this or any other century in my opinion.

In the December 2001/January 2002 issue of PCS View there is a picture of me, wearing shorts, standing on a picket line. I believe that i appeared in The Western Mail sometime between October & December 2001 again in Shorts.
Is there any other evidence you wish?

For the sake of your very shaky credibility I suggest you post your shorts to this board. Until then I shall presume you are a cowboy public licensee.

Can you believe that soem people do not realise that Pembrokeshire remains predominantly rural today and the main agricultural activity is dairy farming.
Sometimes I truly despair of education of our kids.

The fact the welsh has a bad reputation is purely down to word of mouth at shoe shops where wellies are sold in abundance.

Why am I not surprised that Bellicose Paula reappears as Welshist Paula. It is worht remembering every second of every day that we are *all* His Children, including ugly people, including criminals and soccer players, and even including the Welsh.
Fans of Leonard Cohen should, by nature, be inclusive and "all worldy".

Paula (Not H)
I'm still heartbroken (Wellies or not)
Totally Off Topic why are Wellies associated with the Welsh after all the Duke of Wellington was yn Saesneg (English)
JTS
Paula (of the H)
Why do you think that God loves
even including the Welsh.
(Maybe I'm taking a liberty as you say that we are his/her children but I'm assuming s/he loves his/her children. You must remember that Wales is "God's own country" there is a story that is told in the valleys that goes something like this (There are many who say it was originally in Genesis but was removed at the time of Pope Adrian [The only English Pope]):
And lo it came to pass that when the father was making the world he created a country and said "This land shall be of the utmost beauty, it shall be a green and pleasant land, it shall be fruitful and bountiful and the earth beneath it shall give up such wealth that it's people will be blessed with warmth and light and shall prosper above all others. Its land shall be fruitful and the bounty of its crops shall ensure that it's people suffer no famine, it shall provide an abundance of food such that it's people will be strong. These strong people will raise up their voices, and there shall be no voices fairer amongst the kingdoms of earth, in praise and exaltation to the Lord. Their men shall be strong and handsome and their maidens shall be comely and beautiful above all others. They shall excel in sporting endeavours and provide great intellectuals and leaders to the world. And this land, this paradise, that shall surpass the garden of Eden shall be called Wales."
Then the Holy Spirit said unto the father "But shall such talent not make others envious and cause these people to be hated and envied by everyone?"
And the Father replied "Of course not - you want to see the ba****ds I've given them for neighbours!"

Pembrokeshire - then your in luck we can arrange to meet in Swansea or Cardiff and you can get a train direct from Pembroke!
Looking forward to meeting you and helping you spend your subsidy.
JTS (Incidentally since BSE the UK Dairy industry attracts the highest subsidies of any nation)

Paula, one must always remember that the wellies have to be a size larger than your usual shoe size.

Pembrokeshire...... what a beautiful part of the country.
Childhood holidays in Pembrokeshire ....to be revisited for our honeymoon.... to be revisited for our family holidays ....to be revisited for our silver wedding.
I even went on a Biology field trip from school when I was 17 and we had to visit different beaches to study the varying habitats.
Tenby Saundersfoot Amroth Wisemans Bridge Manorbier
Angle Freshwater East Freshwater West Pembroke
Caldy Island where the monks live,,, the only time I have left these shores
We've recently discovered the delights of north Pembrokeshire... St Davids Fishguard etc can't wait for a return visit
A truly outstanding county and national park ... I have seen many cows there outstanding in their fields.
I could go on but I would be guilty of too much self indulgence.
