I guess that I should write something to "save my honour" after YdF epitheths about my delicious persona. First it is too hot and humid even for breathing right now. Second, I just don't feel offensed consedering that YdF is obviously playing a game of provocation. I'll fight in the mud another time, kid. Maybe. OK? Take care. Don't know when I'll come back, anyway.

Forget about YdF, Tchoco, are you taking off somewhere? Like in 'leaving?'
I couldn't imagine this board without your...hmmm...entertaining and heart-felt convictions. There. That about covers it. Yes yes, we've had our little misunderstandings, but you're not 'leaving' are you?

Linda, I don't want to goes the politic way but are we playing a metaphor of you-know-what (can of worms you call it) right now? :D Too funny. :) Besides, we are both too mellow women to have real misunderstandings, I guess. At least, me, you, I don't really know, not wanting to be an 8 and everything.

1) It is written "I don't know when I'll come back". When we are "leaving", there is, usually, no plan of returning.

2) Thanks. A lot.

3) I imagine easily this board without my hummms of all sorts, but hardly the contrary, presently. So I am afraid that people who were rejoycing right now about the eventuality that you suspected, have to postbone the departure party. Please accept my apologize. Wink again.

This is just that I can not be as assiduous as usual. Not a big deal (and I can not let the kid fight in the void, he will get exhausted - which is not such a bad idea, thinking of it twice  . :D "See you", dear. :)

More boo-hoos.

CfO'N, who are you kidding? You're never going to leave. Your "I'm leaving--I'm not leaving" post is just more of your passive-aggressive personality peeking through.

Get with the program.

You said it yourself Tchoco, the world needs 8's, along with the others, of course...blinking yellow spot.

Yes, I said it, 'cause I have no problem with people, including you, being 8s, along with the others, in harmony. Wink. Also as 8 could be such terminators, it is better that they recognized their hard nature, otherwise... 'cause you know that the unwanted parts of ourselves tends to be out of control until they are loved and taking care of by the counscious. So. When you wrote this, I had the feeling that I will had to shake hands with Edward Scissorhands who would not know he can shop me in little peaces by doing so. I feel more comfortable with people who are well aware of the razor blame sides of their personality. Could be so useful in times, these aspects.

OK, yes I forget about YdF, this time, at least for his last comment, as it seems he slide in the mud and can only mouth muddy comments that have no relevancy in regard of my post to him. So. Have a nice day, folks.

Oh, not to worry, Tchoco, I'm well aware of my 'other' side, my 8. Hmm. Linda_Scissorhands. My 8 followed closely by 4 and 5, let's not forget.

I did not remimber for 4 and 5. I just remimber you hitting your head on the screen about the 8, saying you do not want to be.

Linda_Scissorhands_Lakeside, in this movie, after all, this was conformist side that has difficulty to live with the uniqueness and vice versa. Interesting fable.

I have been trying to get through this thread but have been unable to, so forgive me if this is redundant.

One can give power of attorney for many things, for instance our CPA has a POA to file for extensions on our behalf. My daughter's doctor has POA to request any medical records form previous doctors. My sister had a much farther reaching POA for my mother when she became unable to sign her own name.

While Mr. Cohen was on Mt. Baldy he was not easily reachable, while there were phones in the main office and in his cabin he spent much of his time either meditating or in the kitchen. I would guess that he gave someone the power to act on his behalf during his time on the mountain and he trusted Kelley.

I did some research and found no reports of a SWAT team being called to arrest Ms. Lynch , in fact they are not called in LA except when there is an armed and extremely dangerous suspect. I don't think a tiny woman in a bathing suit fits that description.

Here's to the few
who forgive what you do

Gypsey_Wife,
I have been trying to get through this thread but have been unable to, so forgive me if this is redundant.
Quite the contrary. Your post was not redundant in the least. It was concise and informative. Sensible as well.

You not being able to get through this thread is pretty understandable. I saw this thread open, was away for a week or two and now, I too, am lost in the details, innuendo and overall speculation.

I had a hard time visualizing a small woman in a bathing suit being taken away by big men in combat gear, as well.

I think it's human nature to be curious about those that we admire, but curiousity has its limits. I think this thread has reached those limits and travelled beyond, into the land of fantasy vs fact.

Regards,
Linda.

Hey Linda -

if my count is correct, this must have been your #2000!

Congrats, and keep on "Doublin' yer mumper all the time" ;) (cf. James Joyce, Finnegan's Wake, p.3)

Cheers

Tom!

Well, lookie here!! Thank you so much for your very kind words, tom. You are always good with words, especially the kind ones. I, and some others, I'm sure, don't think that 'doublin' me mumper' (to paraphrase) is something that I should be aiming towards, but if it pleases you, it pleases me. As for Finnegan's Wake, that should keep me busy for some time. For a very long time, methinks. Thanks again. For everything.

Love Linda.

You're welcome. It pleases this mumper, Linda. Still "miles to go before you sleep" if you should attempt to double me posting today: this is #1098... :P

Love
tom

PS: As for Finnegan's Wake - this book kept me busy for the last almost 30 years, and I guess it'll keep on doing so for the next three or more decades.

Google's "leonard cohen" Alert finally found something
closer to the target than its usual (-eg, "The National
Institutes of Health has awarded Leonard Johnson,
chair of the Department ... a reception featuring
the paintings of Texas artist Joseph Cohen from 6 ..."
etc.

Canadian Musician Leonard Cohen is broke and the lawsuits are flying
Mired in a legal battle with his money managers, short of funds and
facing a massive tax bill, Leonard Cohen is "devastated." This week, Maclean's
tells the sordid tale of extortion, SWAT teams, Tantric sex, forcible
confinement and betrayal that has embroiled a Canadian music icon. National
business correspondent Katherine Macklem investigates the flying allegations
and reveals how this Canadian star was left broke, and why he must now, at age
70, try to re-ignite his smoldering career. And having known Cohen for years,
senior writer Brian D. Johnson gives readers the inside scoop on how Cohen
lives his life out of the spotlight, revealing the truth about what accusers
call "an extravagant celebrity lifestyle."

Thanks ~Greg. I've been watching the Google Alerts for quite a while now, and this one is probably still unopened in my inbox. I just skimmed the article, but it seems like most of the info has been implied or somehow made its way to this forum.

Isn't Macklem the name of the PR extension of his management firm? Macklem/Feldman? I'll have to re-read the article to see if this Macklem woman is involved in Macklem/Feldman.

What a position for him to be in at his age. Finally, something with more meat than we've been seeing/hearing as of late. Still, it's not over yet, and I just hope he can salvage some security for his later years.

What a disapointment. As has been mentioned before, this could take years to settle, with no guarantee of success on his part. Very unfortunate.
Very sad to have to jump start ones career while just about to retire. At the very least, he doesn't sound as thought he's emotionally crushed, but it has to hurt. Macleans is a magazine that is everywhere in Canada. I can get a copy of that without problem. Jeez, what a mess.

Linda.
