Music You're Listening To
Re: Music You're Listening To
Yeah, well, that's what happens when you listen to other people's music on this site. If Jarkko were on commission from Amazon he'd be able to retire by now.
Karma to Burn I think is my favourite album, after Too Close to Heaven. I dug out Fisherman's Blues to hear The Stolen Child last night since discovering the forthcoming WB Yeats show. Nice Waterboys trip you sent me on, Kwills.
Mike Scott has a big connection with the Findhorn spiritual community in northeast Scotland. He and the band made Universal Hall there. If I may indulge in one more link, I found this live clip from the year that album was released: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCY7MHc-j4U
Happy Christmas:-)

Happy Christmas Diane but from now on you are banned from Other music !
Your crime? making me spend too much money!!!
Seriously though The Waterboys are a fantastic group of musicians.
You Saw The Whole Of The Moon, got me interested in the first place, then when I heard Fisherman's Blues, I was hooked!
If there is anyone out there that haven't heard of The Waterboys then do yourself a favour and check them out.

Re: Music You're Listening To
My youtube clickings tonight uncovered this remarkable performance by a woman I did not know I would ever appreciate, and of a song I have had quite an aversion to since when I was a child we stayed in the next door chalet at Pontins to the woman who was practicing it all week for the talent competition. The piano playing is something else, too!

Hi Diane, that was an amazing performance by her, and yet, at the same time it made me feel a little uncomfortable, but when she got going on the piano phew! Thanks for posting it.

Dead Like Harry have just released their new album, 'Know the Joy of Good Living'.
You won't have heard of this group but I think they're brilliant and could actually make it big.
You can hear snippets of each song through the above link and, if you want, you can actually download the whole album for free.

Hi kwills:-) Yeah it's a bit raw, and not altogether tuneful (we like that sorta thing though, on this forum, don't we). Glad you enjoyed.
Hi Pete:-) That sounds like a good bit of music to drive to. I may well download it tomorrow. Cheers. May your snowmen never melt.
It's late here, time to shut down, time for a lullaby. Nos da. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDFBa5tudPk
