Thanks, Diane,
actually it's more than I hoped for us :) Of course there will be other factors to consider and maybe some people has plans already. But I meant it, so I will wait for the discussion.

So nice to see all those photos of your wonderful weekend - just made me a tad envious! ;-)

I have very fond memories of that same picturesque walk, Dillenburg, Forellen-Franz etc. :D

I'm sure Henning & the Franz family deserve every congratulation they get, on being wonderful organisers and hosts, yet again (not forgeting the fabulous Berlin Event in that respect)! 8)

Cheers,
Andrew :)

Quite difficult to prepare something better than henning and the Franz family, but if you like Meritxell and myself will try!

Andrew it would be excellent to see you on one of these walking weekends. Think the last time I saw you was Berlin and I don't care to calculate how long ago that was! Yes Joe, we did miss you both. Were your ears burning when we spoke about you?

Another intriguing proposal, Beatriz. Eva and Beatriz, you could give a little more information about your plans if you like - so that people might find it easier to decide if it comes to a vote.

I have finished uploading my pictures:

Diane, I do hope I can make one of the walks too - I had entertained the idea of coming up for the Haiger one, but it was just not affordable this year. :( Perhaps I should suggest one down in Oz too - I'm sure we'd come up with one that would fit the bill! ;-)

Re Berlin, it's hard to believe how time flies so!

Cheers,
Andrew :)

Hola Bea and Meritxell,

you and the spanish cohenites did a phantastic job too for Leonard's 75th birthday party in Barcelona in 2009 and we are sure it would be a great walking weekend in Cadaques' in 2013 !!!
If possibile by then (of course it is far away now) , we surely will come to Spain again :-)
So go ahead organizing it.

Love from Italy

Andrew, I confess I personally would be unlikely to go as far as Oz (although if you could russle up Blonde Madonna to attend, I would have to consider it very carefully!). But Andrew, and Mary, you should indeed either join the Europe walks, or create your own in Oz and the US:-)

I have missed out many people in my pics I am afraid, but I am sure Wijbe and others will make up for that.

Hi Andrea. As there are so many now interested in these weekends, is it fair that any forum member who has a proposal gets the chance to put it forward? And then, if there are two or more contenders remaining on, say, Mon 3rd October, put it to the vote?

I like the idea of voting on the possible contenders for the next walking weekend but why 3rd october . Don't you think it is too soon unless you mean oct 3rd 2012 .
The one that gets my vote will have to convince me there will be no eggs for breakfast ' no crab for evening meal no dodgy taxi drivers and lots of those beef spread sandwiches that Elka gave us on the walks . Magnifique they were !!
