Mambo is sittiing beside me here on the sofa and making me do the work.... she wants to say a big thank you for all the greetings and especially a HUGE thanks for all the nice cards she received. She really appreciated them and wishes she could have shared her birthday cake with you....
She said that after all the cameras up her and down her and all the shaking all about, she feels a lot better now

and is happy to be home
you are just the best xxxx

I have just turned up for work at the local bookies and noticed a horse running in the 7.30 at Southwell called MIGHTY MAMBO . I think I will risk a few shilling on that one as it is sure to be a fighter !
Happy days
Phil

....i thought we had already gone too far for the forum's self-appointed censors by extending the current limits of approved forum subject matter with the football content on this thread....
...but now the thread has plummeted even further into the depths of intellectual emptiness with (bad) horse racing tips...whatever next??....
....if we are not careful i'm sure there will soon be calls from the usual 'politics-and-horse-racing-have-got-nothing-to-do-with-leonard-cohen' forum members to banish us all down to the discredited politics thread or even worse ban this thread completely......
...and i'm surprised at you pete for lowering yerself.......
....btw handsome scouser is running in the 5:30 at kempton today and chattering dubliner in the 2:30 tomorrow....surely both winners in every way
....and up the workers...oops now i'm in big trouble

Ha ha ha ha Ken... the best laugh I had in ages.
Roll on September, I think I will hang out with you for the whole time. Sure to be a cultural experience of the highest order ( with plenty of laughs thrown in for good measure.)
I watched the race but bet for the horse to win. Ah well, its only money
