Tom, it's my impression that a manager in L.A., would have a swimming pool (at least one) - it sort of goes with the territory. Everyone down there (in the biz) has a pool and a Mercedez. That's probably an over simplification, but it's not unusual.

Now, everyone stop posting until I get unconfused. No. That wouldn't work either, as it would mean the end of the thread.

1. I, like all the forum members, am not in "the biz"".
2. There is no-one I know who has at least one swimming pool.
3. Re the reference to the Mercedes Benz: Janis Joplin wanted one, but she gave him head instead, on an unmade bed, and that wasn't unusual.
4. Your reply is not an over simplification.
5. I don't think this thread is going to end......as they say in Scotland "it wisnae me!".

1. Yes, my reference to 'Mercedez' was indeed 'sic'
2. Hard to say who is in 'the biz'
3. I have worked in 'the biz' and many managers, agents and general hangers on very often led the 'good life' which included pools and the Mercedes Benz - often not 'paid for' but it looked like it (on the surface)
4. Getting head on an unmade bed is still not unusual
5. I think it's safe to say that Closing Time for this thread is a long way off.

And they always, always thought they're only right and their word must be the last one. Some of them also liked to use "Freudian" discourse. But I guess in the end, they were those who needed to take care of themselves, find their way in life, go beyond their ego-maniacal disorder (which roots are in their own uncertainty, I guess) and to learn how accept other people as equal human beings.

The Agile/Greenberg camp reportedly filed its pre-emptive lawsuit on June 6 in Boulder County District Court. That means, any day now, if it hasn't happened already, there'll be some sort of defence filing made on behalf of Leonard Cohen. And, depending on how they wish to proceed, that could also be the time to file any counter-claim.

Court procedures vary in different countries and jurisdictions. And, unless there's someone on this board who lives in Boulder, Colorado, I guess we'll not hear about the filing until the local media pick up on it.

Anybody who reads this thread without a biased mind (or in Chocfull's case...a diseased one) will see that I was never out-of-line in anything I wrote about this case. While I have written that I think Leonard's hands are not exactly as well-manicured as they once were...I have also raised questions about Greenberg's role in the POA and "corporation." Your idol has feet of clay. You're just going to have to deal with it and stop with the "HOW DARE YOU!" posts.

(What gets me is that Lightning can write a post about karma biting Leonard in the --s and there is not one screeching peep out of you. So, I quess it all depends on whose goring the ox.)

I'm going to make a prediction that should make you happy Tom. This case is going to come to a very quiet resolution. All the garbage is going to be swept under the transcendental rug. So rest easy and get back to tending The Flame.

In the absence of further factual details - beyond those which do exist, and are contained earlier in this thread, it's natural that personalities become the focal point of conversation.

It's healthy to recognize our great artists as human beings, and, it's also wonderful, and rare, to have the opportunity, as we do here - to potentially aid someone who has given us much through his life and art.

Boss has started a thread - stating the truth that Leonard is bigger than money.

We've all expressed our feelings and concerns. And I really believe we all want nothing but the best for Leonard. Seems like a very natural point to focus on the good ~ and let the rest pass.
