Forgive me. I have been derelict in my duty as an admirer of LC's music. I admit, I couldn't read the entire 7 pages on which I missed out. No hard news came out, so I thought I might glean something out of this thread. Now, I'm sorry, but I can't read all this. Where are we now? Wayne's World? Are we so lean on fact that there's no where left to go? If that's the case, why not wait until there is more to go on.

We have analysed this man from word one, and every word he wrote after that. To his love life to his one night stands to his clothes, his kids, his homes. We try to guess what he thinks. We try to anticipate his moves. When will the book come out? When the tour? Why the management? Why not let it rest until something happens. To Leonard. I tune in and hear what? A forum member smokes dope? I can go across the street to hear that. So, I guess there's not much more than there was on page 3.

I'm very interested to know what happens to this fine artist and his career, But...?

Excuse me, Stupididiot,

Was this proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law? Did someone confess to a crime? Did Leonard give a press conference? Has Feldman given a press conference? Is there any real hard news?

That's all I'm trying to ascertain, because the last time I looked, none of the above had transpired. If things have changed, I'd be more than pleased to hear your interpretation of the events.

Regards,
Linda.

Isn't it far better for money to be spent on gigolos and shopping sprees at Nieman Marcus than on murdering innocent people in Iraq?

Well, I, for one, would rather go shopping than kill someone in Iraq, however, I'm not sure what that has to do with Leonard's legal problems.

Tchoco wrote:Oh! by the way, there is a beautiful juicy scandal around the Mormons these days why don't you go there?
What scandal is that? Is it related to this somehow?

First, I guess it is, Lg, if :

1) the guy is very skilled professionally speaking
2) the money is yours

Second, the murders you are taling about are free. If you know what I mean.

Ld, Hugh is the name of the gigolo. I guess.

Go have a trip to the Mormons and see by yourself. I'm sure you'll do a far better reporter than me and don't forget, come back with facts. Cheers.

Tax fraud.
Blackmail.

That kind of money doesn't just disappear.
All parties are guilty.

But you are not gone to the Mormons, yet, you? Does not matter if it is related to Lc or not, 95% of what is on this thread does not seem related to LC anyway. 5% facts 95% brew. Take care.

Tchoco!

You read my mind! Amazing. Also, I look at the clock and you were probably typing as I was thinking what I was thinking.

I will visit the Mormons though. Why not? They seem to visit me once in a while. The Jehovah Witness as well. I'll ask for Joseph Smith personally. I bet he's not there, though.

I wish I'd taken up Evelyn Wood's reading course. However, I'll do my best to review the contents of this thread. The topic being so topical and all.

Maybe I wasn't clear talking about gigolos and shopping sprees ,but that was what the article said Kelley spent Leonard's money on. Some people think of tax evasion as tax resistance. That is, at least the money didn't go for the war. Murdering people is never free. We all pay for wars with our tax dollars. We pay for the guns, tanks, ammunition, the bombers and the bombs and we pay the salaries of all who man them. We pay for the body bags, the coffins woth flags, the veterans pensions, diability payments, state burials, etc, etc, etc. Much of the US tax dollar ( maybe 40%, not sure) goes towards military spending. Meanwhile we have no public healthcare and millions of Americans are uninsured.

Yes, it's unfortunate that those opposed to the war are still the ones footing the bill for it.

In terms of Leonard's alleged 'tax evasion', I have to wonder if that money would have gone to the war effort as Leonard is, as far as I know, still a Canadian citizen. Therefore, his taxes would go to Revenue Canada and Canada, thus far, is not in the war.

I'm still wading through this thread, and may not be fully informed as to what's going on, yet. Buyt you're right in that the line about shopping sprees was misunderstood by this reader. I see the connection now.
