I suppose that raises the philosophical question for another day (or another half hour) is ‘is someone who joins right this very minute as valid as someone joined for years?’ But then we all joined at some precise minute in time for whatever reason we had. I see that I joined in early 2008 I guess that must have been in the lead up to the Kilmainham announcement but naif thing that I was I did not join a pre-sale frenzy for that gig (did not know it existed, otherwise I would have). I just logged in with the great unwashed and still managed to get a ticket.

Its 12:48am here...cold and dark...got my coffee ready and blankets wrapped around me.
I still remember standing with Irish Mar as she spoke in San Jose with Lady Di and myself on each side of her
in the lobby of the Fairmont talking to Ed Sanders and whoever would listen...
making her pleas about coming back to Ireland...
Wild horses couldn't drag me away from coming to SLIGO!!!
looking so forward to this...
Last time I was in Ireland was in 1975 to Cork and Bantry Bay...
