I've so enjoyed this thread. I've had such a crazy week but whenever I'd peek in for 5 or 10 minutes there'd be something new here - a great poem, a funny story, some of the photo's are just wow (sorry to tired to think of a better adjective - but you get what I'm saying)... Thank so much for these little vicarious mini mini breaks. :)

Cate

Oh, and Tinderella I have to agree with Lizzy that fella in the blue sweeter seemed pretty cute to me - nice smile, looks kinda snuggly.

Jean's lunch.jpg
You mean this crab?

I should have taken its pic from a side angle because that's where I was sitting, next to Jean, staring at its hairy legs. It took half the group to get the innards out of the poor creature. I am still picking bits out of my hair.

Cate, you should have been there:-)

Jean you and that crab kept me entertained for the best part of an hour  I was expecting Bob the Builder to come and help with his tool kit.

The piano player was driving us all mad until Bernie asked her if she knew any Cohen songs. She did a whole selection I warmed to her during that interlude but went off her again quite quickly when she reverted back to muzak!

Did anyone get a photo of our pianist at the lunch?
Paula says to me at first... I wish someone would shoot the piano player and then after a while when she started to play a few len songs, Paula turns to me and says 'oh she is quite good' :) We women are so fickle.

I cannot believe it is a week already since i climbed Mount Snowdon. Time flies when you are having fun.

Have a great weekend everyone and I am off on the early bird tomorrow for Barcelona, wish I could wrap up all my wales friends and take them with me

There looked to be strawberries in it but they'd sunk!!!

By the way, isn't this a small world? Judith and I found out that we both work for the same county authority. That makes 2 cohenites in Derbyshire at least :)

Serendipity wrote:Well hello everyone. I've only just come down to earth after the fab trip to Barmouth. Thank you all for making me so welcome, special thanks to Marg and John for inviting me and Diane for her patience as I was always changing my mind!! I guess LC cd's and books will be on my families christmas pressie list for me as I never stopped talking about the weekend!! Hope you all have a great time in Barcelona.

Linda did some rigorous training on the days before Snowdon. Her room was on the top floor of the tallest B&B in the row. I'm not sure if it had an outside loo though :) Or a choice of eggs for breakfast ;-)

Marg and I are delighted to see Linda come into the fold. :) We now know what to get her for Christmas....Leonard himself ? 8)
