Dear Kyndwoman

My apologies for not replying earlier - I thought this thread had died a natural death and had not checked it out for a while!

It would be great to catch up with you, but Moruya is a two day drive from Toowoomba! Coincidentally, I drove through there this past June/July, as my partner's sister lives at Narooma (which is 40 kilometres south of Moruya)!

There is a slight prospect we could head back down in January for summer holidays, but I doubt it, as it is such a long trip (driving) and one we've just done recently.

Anyway, perhaps my partner's sister (Helen) would like to meet you - she's a cool person anyway! Whilst she's not really a Cohen fan, she has been to one of our LC celebration nights - and seemed to enjoy it anyway.

Cheers
Andrew (Darby) :)

Having never seen LC, I am purchasing tapes from someone who had the luck and foresight to tape him when he was on Austin City Limits in '88 and '93.

I think it would be great if LC himself could benefit from such sales -- perhaps some tapes of performances might be available in NYC next year?

Hi Jeannie ~

Welcome to the Forum :D . That's a great idea! I've never been to an Event, so maybe that's already in place, however, just in case it's not, it'd sure be great if it could happen. There are a number I'd love to have. I take it you'll be coming then 8) . Distance sure isn't an issue.

Hello Jeannie.

I would be happy to take my wife to see lc at the foot of Jacob's Ladder if I thought it would make her happy. Gen 28:12

She knows.

I have deleted the original poll because it was sabotaged by someone. Jarkko

I found this poll taken in 2003 when the thought of Leonard touring was purely fantasy for us and when the forum only had a few hundred members

But the thing that made me laugh was the bit at the end from Jarkko. I wish I could remember who sabotaged the poll and why

Congratulations, Paula. By resurrecting this thread I imagine you can now claim it to be the longest-lasting on the site: five years and ten months!

It is indeed amusing to read how in 2003 members dreamed the impossible dream of a single show. What would have been their reaction if they had heard from our future selves that so far it's 99 concerts and continuing...?

As one who has only been on the Forum since last July, I am humbled and always totally in awe of those of you who were the beginnings...not beginners, but beginnings. How I wish Leonard had been part of my life 7 years ago so that I too could have shared in all these wonderful years with you that built up to the crescendo last spring with the R&R Hall of Fame and then the start of this incredible tour adventure. I bow to you in gratitude that you kept his legacy alive...through sheer love and admiration. Thank you from my now very enlightened soul!

All the best,
Diana
