George(s) baby i am not convinced that that line quite worked out as you originally envisaged. I really don't think that the partisan is the one pouring across the border, but i guess it matters little. What is more concerning is that you may be descending to my level once again, though without the concomitant style and wit. Rise above George(s), keep your soul pure. Hell will be bad enough without you keeping me company.

p.

p.s. Jo, some people on this board are really only capable of thinking in black and white. Coming in to a thread with nice comments about me will only confuse their worlds with shades of grey.

I am not a big Johnny Cash fan however he does have some good songs that I have liked. I seem to remember he owes his life to June Carter. She stood by him through the years of him almost destroying himself with alcholol.
He will be heard, as LC says, for generations. My youngest loves his songs.

Well, unless they're capable of understanding sarcasm, with all its shades of meaning  .

Oh partisan, dear could-be mutually admired one!
Unfortunately I have to inform you that you relish the p cult a wee bit early. It would be a cheaply bought cult if you only had to declare one tiny little agreement to get it.
Look, partisan, dear (LPD), Voltaire once stated that to establish a new religion it's still best to use the old way of dying and being reborn.
But a reborn p takes more than just changing names once more...
I'm looking forward to it, sweetheart of the "had absolutely nothing to do with it" kind...

Hey Jo,
I didn't know it was your list p's on... :P
But maybe he's on all the lists available...
There should be a list partisan device (LPD), though i always thought partisans don't get enlisted...

AAAAARRRRRRUUUGH to All,

There is nothing wrong with partisan. George (my apologies George) was always the one to compliment Lizzytysh. He is better now though.

Partisan/Godzilla, your right.
It's not worth being cast into the lake of fire for parrying a few words with you.
My deepest apologies ( i am frightened of being burnt at the stake ).
Bye for now...............Georges

Thank you for posting this, Godzilla!

Finally I know who partisan was referring to when he said some don't understand but black and white.

But I agree with George: "It's not worth being cast into the lake of fire for parrying a few words with you. " So I won't.

My deepest apologies, therefore, for having introduced some shades of grey and even colors...(Johnny Cash once sang about the "forty shades of green", but he was referring to George's island, not to yours, of course.)

A marvellous Island..................if only we can sort our wee problems out.
Looking at things in black and white in Ireland is not the way forward.
Best Regards Tom..................Georges

I'm with you, Georges (on the risk of being MAS'd again by p&G). It is a marvellous Island. And looking at things in black and white won't be helpful, not with your "wee little problems" nor with anything else.
Best Regards, Georges..........Tom

Mmmm anyway back to Johnny Cash  I see there are a number of fans here, so maybe someone could help me out. I am trying to trace a song of his which I believe goes back a while, problem is I don't know the title, but it mentions every US state and I think has a native American theme. Not much to go on but maybe it will ring a bell with someone I have been trying to get this as a present for a long time.
Thanks
Altinkum

Is it the song that goes "what did Della wear....." etc? Not sure if Johnny Cash sang that one though.

Johnny mentions a lot of american locations in his songs. The only one I can think of which approaches a list is "Wanted Man" and I am not even sure if he wrote that.
