Surely has to be

A MAN, A PLAN, A CANAL, PANAMA
The Ogre does what ogres can,
Deeds quite impossible for Man,
But one prize is beyond his reach:
The Ogre cannot master speech.

So how did man/woman first discover how to milk a cow?

I first tried reversing the words and then the letters in your question, and got nowhere, so finally just asked. So...

Perhaps, in reverse? They drank the milk. Then, curiousity nearly killed them, as they tried to figure out how to get it out outta the cow?

We may never know... however, nutrition for a calf [one mammal] could likely be perceived as potential nutrition for a person [another mammal]. Observing the calf's action was probably the biggest clue as to how to go about it... and they, obviously, finally got it right. :)

Since humans and cows are homologously equipped for the purpose of infant nutrition, and since grown men sometimes drink from their wives, and since cows were once hunted rather than kept, and since a mother cow may have been hunted when her bag was full, and since earlier people were hungrier than we are, I don't think it took much creativity to taste the stuff of cows.

It may have been harvested from such cows - they may have been easy prey. Of course, once these animals were domesticated, you could sqeeze the stuff out whenever you felt a bit thirsty. Have you ever lactated? It can be incredible. We're not photosynthetic, but we can make our own food, and this holds some kind of amazement for me. If the child is on a feeding regiment, and for whatever reason, if you can’t do a feeding, your boobs get so big and tight with milk that the stuff just starts pouring out. But it's warm, so you don't even notice until you're talking to your co-worker and he can't take his eyes off your boobs, and he's never acted like that kind of jerk before.

I think that mother cow who was hunted may have been trying to find her babe for a feeding because them thangs get heavy, then when they stuck her with their long pointy spears, she started gushing and squirted them all over and showered them all in milk and some of them put up their hands against it, twisting their heads, and others just opened their mouths. And when it was all over, the ones who'd resisted licked their fingers. From then on, the most highly prized kill was the mother with a full bag. They would run her down with their spears, screaming like monkeys and they'd corner her and she would turn in circles, braying for her child and her fear. Then one of them would scream and lunge and put a spear in her side. "Mind the bag!" they'd shout. And they would all join in the violence; her blood all over the ground, all over the spears. Then when they got her down, some deep instinct would overtake them and they would all huddle around her bag with their rumps sticking up in the air like so many sleeping infants, and they'd suck her dry. Everyone knows how to suck.

And then we domesticated them, and tripled their size through genetic manipulation and gave them hormones so they would start lactating sooner. "Milk! Milk!!" we cry. "Mmmiiiiilllllk!"

Those in India who consider the cow sacred and outside the realm of the killing fields are, hereby, fully supported.
