That's wonderful, Phil. It never occurred to me that you might not know Jim Croce, nor previously, Harry Chapin. That 'dang' pond  . Did you listen to the wonderful "Time In A Bottle"? It's very sad that Jim died so prematurely. In retrospect, the song seems prophetic, doesn't it  ?

John ~ Who knows how it is I missed this thread of yours. Your dream virtually come true. Who'd have thought how the world could change since the time you had your dream. I really enjoyed seeing how simply thinking of someone whose music could create in you "this deep sense of calm, happiness, and validation," could at once inspire a sign-of such as "Love and peace" 8) :D 8) ~ music plays such an important role in our lives. It's a wonderful verse you quoted ~ the exponential reality of love, that will also always be greater than the sum of its parts. An effective, conceptual expression that Neil gave it and that even goes beyond.

Love,
Lizzy

Hi John, I didn't see this thread before. I didn't realise you were such a big fan, either. Cool.
I stood up, raised my fist in the air and shouted "YEAH!". Neil looked up at me and raised his fist in response.
A moment of connection with your hero. Priceless.

And I missed THAT comment! WHAT is going on here  !?!

That is VERY cool, John :D ! Wonderful, too, when performers embrace their audiences to that extent 8) . A response like that is priceless :D .

philo wrote:john k and linda lakeside - i have just discovered a agreat site you may be interested in. type in a musician or title of a piece of music and 'pandora' give you endless pieces of affiliated music (not sure of exact link but just type into google). it has opened my world to a number of interesting musicians and bands. jim croce, jose gonzalez - (who sounds rather like nick drake) amongst others - first time i visited the site i felt rather like a six year old let free in a sweet shop.
I know that Google Alerts will go one step further and give you affiliated music as well. I've been getting Google Alerts for quite a while now, on Leonard. Then I discovered one can also get 'Leonard affiliated' alerts. Nick Cave, Suzanne Vega, Rufus, etc. I opted out of that 'option', as my Leonard alerts were piling up. However, I cannot resist a try on your 'pandora's box', and I thank you for the tip.

Glad you liked. I forgot I told that story. It was quite the moment.
I love to speak with John
