And New Orleans will surely prevail due to her and other New Orleaners spirited efforts.
That's sure enough true, Kush. She's right up there in that department, too! Now, I hope the spirited ones who want to remain will still be able to afford to; or, with some, even better able.

Thanks, Tri-me, Kush, and Margaret.

Let her know that her buddy from California has been praying for her.

Gotta love those Heroin Addicts.

Hi Gypsey Wife ~

Yes, I will. Very soon :D . Thanks.

Yes, there was more about the heroin addicts and getting them to help her, instead, rather than waiting on all the fly-by-night 'repair' people, who couldn't be trusted to do what they say they're going to do. I just didn't go into it.

She said [not dealing with them, specifically] that a group was supposed to meet at 9:00 AM, this morning, to start working together to get the area cleaned up; and that getting any, three people in one location, at one time, is at this point a major feat!

Squidgy used to sign herself St. Squidgy. She is entitled to have her sainthood back.

And you have been on my mind too Gypsey Wife. News reports on the Californian fires here mentioned the word "canyons." Glad you're safe.

I don't know Squidgy, but I'm relieved she's safe.

I would also echo Paul's concerns for you, Gypsey Wife - I did think of you, but expect you were okay where you live.

Cheers :)

We are doing fine here, but thank you, my South Pacific pals, for your concern.

We live in the Canyon Country area of the Santa Clarita Valley. This is about 30 miles east of where the fire started in Chatsworth, which is in the San Fernando Valley. The fire burned west from there.

Hi Gypsey Wife ~

All I knew was "California" regarding your whereabouts. As you know, 30 miles is nothing, had it burned east. I heard something about the colder air, and the winds blowing back east after a bit [and after they'd gained some control], so it filled the city with 'smoke.' I'm glad it missed you.
