Oh, Perth Darling?

The pm I sent you so many months ago? I'm afraid there's more to tell. And I'm not the one to do the telling. I remember the night well. I remember every word I put in that email. I remember who was on the board, and I remember who wasn't on the board. I remember who I talked to. And who I didn't talk to. Even later. Sounds like a suspenseful novel, doesnt it? Funny things happen in this house of mirrors.

Linda.

Whatever my hopes may have been, I knew, deep in my heart, that it would come to this. Yet, I cannot and will not rescind the verbal virtues I so happily bestowed upon you. Until your beatification, they will remain.
Thanks.
I can understand your somewhat irritable response. You're probably hung-over now.
I'm rarely hungover.
Perhaps due to the fact that I'm rarely sober.

*lights cigar....cough*

I remember every word...
Huh huh.

Dearest Perth. Surely the term "gentleman" would not limit your personality with its constraints.

Perth,

A true gentleman never looks at his watch (in an obvious way).
"Loose lips sink ships"
Oh! You can sink my ship any day! Wait! I have to get my scarlet lipstick.

Linda.

Yes, Paris was lovely wasn't she. It. I don't remember. Must've been the wine.

Linda,
I never forget what I've said
unlike you...

Linda wrote:
Especially considering that I haven't sent you any pms.
Linda then said:

do go on...
I remember every word I put in that email.
Right.
So you now freely admit that there has been not only pms between us but emails too.
Yet you told everyone on the board yesterday that you'd never sent me a pm.

An explanation would be appreciated here, dahling.

Yours...
as always

Vince.

Vince (if we must),

The word 'email' was inadvertent. I meant pm.

No, I had not forgotten about that pm as it was of so little consequence and it was a long time ago, so I naturally thought you were referring to something far more recent and far more interesting. But, I freely admit, that yes, I did send you a pm, the circumstances of which are really not for the board's consumption. That's why they're called 'private'. Would you not agree. Of course, you would not agree. But, I'll let you say whatever you wish. As long as it's true, of course.

Whoa there sweetheart...

You said:
No, I had not forgotten about that pm...
and yet you said yesterday "I haven't sent you any pms"

which made me look a liar.
You then became angry, and I [being the gentleman that I am] allowed you to get away with it.

I do believe I deserve an apology.

Of course I agree my love, my lips are sealed.
But, I'll let you say whatever you wish. As long as it's true, of course.
Linda, we all know by now which one of us tells the fibs.
The word 'email' was inadvertent. I meant pm.
Whatever you say Linda.

Ps. Don't forget the apology.

Vince.

Anything you say, uh, Perth, I mean Vince, I mean, uh, why would a little detail like that disturb your gentlemanly sense of calm?

Tick, tock.

<shoots linda a glance of pure contempt>

Apologise now for lying, or be forever know as Lying Linda Lakeside.

Be sharp linda.

It'll only sting for a couple of seconds.

Perth,

I've "lied" about nothing, so what have I to apologize for? The apology itself would be a lie.

Besides, what would be the percentage in 'aplogizing' to a man who shows me nothing but comtempt? What could possibly be gained? Or is the more precise question: What could possibly be lost if I didn't apologize? I have no reason to apologize. Either way, I lose. Why? For engaging in chit-chat with a self-confessed troll.

When was the last time you did what you were told to do?

Linda.

Now you've lied twice.
first about not sending me a pm, only to forget that you said it, and then admit that you had sent me a pm and that you "remembered every word"
second, that you've "lied about nothing"

When in fact you've lied about almost everything.

No, I won't go there, I'm not dredging up our past, only to have you accuse me of dragging your name through the mud, when it's my name and reputation that's been besmirched here.

I'll be fair
I give you one more chance to put things right.
apologise now Linda.
or your reputation goes down the drain.
