This topic has already been discussed at length.

Great idea, Margaret. A private screening, so to speak.

Byron ~ You may turned it over to Paula, but you'll be danged lucky, or unlucky, as she may deem, if you get anyone other than Jo with that pregnant term  .

Do you think that Jims friends could fly into Paris and then travel to the ski fields in the Alpes? Or maybe they like to get around in skis wherever they go? Or maybe it was water ski-ing?

Lizzytish, why do you keep calling Anne Nouria (Nouria not Nouria)??

PS Sorry - had too many coffees this morning

Lizzytish, I hope you don't mind if I answer Insanitor's question ("why do you keep calling Anne Nouria") even though it wasn't addressed to me.

Lizzytysh called me Nouria because when I first registered my real name (Anne) was already taken, so I chose Nouria instead. Then I realized after a few days that it bothered me to have people call me a name that isn't mine. So I re-registered, adding A.L. to my first name, hoping to make things clearer. Unfortunately I confused a lot of people instead. My apologies.

Thats's good Linmag! It's nice to know that there are a few of us who would go to such lengths - if I had already seen him perform, this might not be the case!

The funny thing is, LCs been carefully avoiding me: when I lived in London in 1979 I flew back to Oz for Christmas and so missed his London concerts in December that year (which 'FCC' has beautifully captured); then when I lived in Brisbane in 1985 I holidayed in the UK, so what did Leonard do but have a concert in Brisbane :!: So, as you can see, I just can't win!

Those days of course predated the Internet and websites such as Jarkko's. I think the only sure way of knowing what concerts were coming up back then was by avidly reading Rollingstone or NME or perhaps even routinely reading newspapers and listening to radio. Much to my regret and embarrassment, I now realise I just wasn't in the communication wavelengths at all! :( (Perhaps I was "building my little house deep in the desert" and just "waiting for the miracle to come"! )

Cheers :)

:) thanks for replying Anne, now I understand. I thought maybe Lizzytish was trying to out you as having an alter-ego, because I've seen a bit of that on the board.

I couldn't get the name I wanted either as three were taken or really similar to others. So I chose this one.

All right, I admit it, I haven't read every word of this thread, however, I read enough to know I like Nouria. I like Anne as well (I used to wish my Mother had called me Anne - I always thought it regal. Nouria has the same feel. A nice sound. On a dark night, alone in the winter wilderness, one could even imagine Nouria scrambling through the under-brush trying to escape her tormentors. Political ones. Make a spy movie Nouria/Anne. Be a double agent. Make a million dollars.

Thanks linda - it's one I came across years ago, but as might be expected, its meaningfulness has not diminished over time. 8)

Cheers :)

Andrew,

It's great when you find a signature that you never bore of. Or it bores of you. However, I really must question the meaningfullness part. I refer only to the spelling of the word. I don't know, maybe it's right. I'm not going to bother looking it up. It's fine with me. Me, who has a full dictionary of misspelled words! And I wrote it myself!

The first line in the quote is Anne's the second is mine. The goof re: the copy and paste is mine, also.
