YdF ~

at times you were funny. But it seems you're running out of inspiration. Your repetitions are giving us the same nonsense over and over. It starts to bore me... Try to think of a new joke - or be quiet.

Leonard is a master of repetition. He gives new meaning to every single word with every repetition.

You seem to be a master of a lesser art: you give diferent words to the same meaning... Not too bad, but...

Anne-Marie ~

don't let any of this discourage you. Just keep on. Tomorrow YdF might say that you are me and we are all together.

They will disappear... as time goes by...

Maybe the best strategy is to ignore the YdFs of this world. I'll try to do so. (Success improbable...)

not for one second does ydf really think Anne Marie is me. not for one second does he care that he may drive away a welcome new poster here. not for one second does ydf have the guts to apologise. not for one second is he worth responding to.

Don't be so angry. Four letter words won't improve three letter persons.

And: at least I wouldn't want any censorship. Not for you, not for the YDFs of this world.

Rational startegy can be either to ignore them or to oppose them.

if I used emotithingys i would have been able to show contempt and you wouldn't have mistaken it for anger. none of the baby trolls have ever moved me (although Avalon's homophobia disgusted me ).

btw I think your new word "startegy" has great potential. It explains as an opening tactic that we ignore the baby trolls, if we fail then we can try something else using all our "endergy" perhaps.

sometimes typos can be the beginnig of neologisms. "startegy" - thank you, c2, for detecting this one...

Do you know the words to 'It Had to be You'?

Sorry, I wanted to get involved but I didn't want to argue. I like the poem very much. As a matter of fact, I've been following your posts since you've been here, Anne-Marie. Again, nice poem.

Oh, I know what I forgot! I know this isn't the time or the place but I don't what the time or place might be so I'll just press on.

Not being familiar with all the techno-gizmos in this forum, I was wondering why my 'edit' flag keeps following me around. It never stops. How do I get it to leave me alone?

Trying to ascertain your question, Linda. You always have the "Edit" button available on each of your own postings, so if anytime you wish to edit, you'll be able to ~ on your own postings [well, in most places, anyway ~ huh, Paula  ]. Is it something other than that, that you're referring to, though?

Hi Lizzy,

Please note my other posts directly above - 'edit' sits there like a cockroach on a birthday cake. The posts of others just have 'quote'. I can understand having the 'edit' just after posting but not a month after!

Remember Else? You ran her off this Forum with your visciousness. I haven't forgotten how you treated her. All this faux niceness now on your part is a lot of baloney. I hope Young dr. Freud continues to nail your hide to the wall.

Dear Linda ~

   ~ In reality, the Edit box sits only visible to you! This is because only you have the option available to Edit your postings. If others had that option, that Edit box would be visible to others, as well. However, it's not. You don't see others' Edit box because you cannot Edit their postings [hence you have no need of that box].

In reality, months and even years later, you CAN go back and Edit your own postings. However, you will always have that dreaded [to me] "edited" message appear at the bottom of that posting.

If this explanation doesn't work, I'll try again  .

Lizzy ~

And there is my answer so nice and neat and complete. Thanks, it was really bugging me! As does the 'edit' line.

Like you, I've never taken part in other message boards, forums or chat rooms so I don't always know how these things work. At the end of all this, I'll be a pro. Tks.

Linda
