Ha-ha Tchoco – no, I like the body hair, it's the short-short sleeves and the short-short shorts (it looks like he's wearing his girlfriend's clothes)!

BTW, I enjoy your musings and postings...

 The girlfriend clothes... :D It was a male fashion of those years. I saw so many in that kind of outfit. Not to mentioned the little speedo bathing suits, it was worst than being nude   I have read somewhere in the WWW that this picture was taken while he was going to a beach party or attending one. The photographer asked him if he can take a picture and he said yes. I like the line of the arm, and the roundness of the thights on this picture, and the strenght of the neck and that it gives to imagine what the body is in the nude. (And of course i like the hair 8) all the hair, on the head and the body.)

I'll do a little reseach with Google to see if I can trace this.

Thanks for your good words, Imaginary Friend! :D

Please somebody find out about that Hollywood YMCA photo. Please.

This is a photo that's brought me a lot of comfort, and is one of the reasons I kept Sylvie Simmons' book off my radar (until I bought it last week and can't get enough. But Portrait of an Artist, Sylvie, really? Get it right.):

I don't want to be glued around here (wich is a real danger, you know) and the best that I have found is this :

Maybe I did dream the beach, or was it a swimmingpool ? Anyway it was a party that necessitate to be dressed like a lazy bastard without a suit, no?

The sort you do not receive invitation card without the note no black tie. Speaking of blackness, the picture in black and white is much better.

But I did not lost my time entirely. I have found a nice Spanish information, I better post in the news section. Hear the guitars and the dancer going together, yet.

Abby, sit : I have another YMCA T-shirt photo for you, in bonus.

(So, OK, maybe he did borrow his girlfriend's clothes)

Aha! Now in that photo (the one with the topless girlfriend), Leonard's sexy bare feet steal the show 8)

At least for US, eh, Sheila

I've seen that photo before, but only in black and white... and never noticed the YMCA logo. The bright yellow of it would have drawn my attention to the lettering on it.

Thanks for these, Tchoc. This one is definitely much better than his standing one.

Thank you, Tchocolatl! The YMCA tshirt seems like such an off-screen kind of image of Leonard- like Leonard in his jammies or something (though there is, apparently, a photo of Leonard in striped jams:
striped jams.jpg
It doesn't count, however- I'm sure you'll know what I mean. Does nobody get to see Leonard not looking ready to be seen?

I don't know, but for me that puts the subject to sleep. For now.
