No I didn't take that photo...it's from the parish website. Most of my photos of it were taken at weddings and christenings i've been to there.
It's very old and quite famous.

It's St Michaels Church In Bray...Berkshire. Not far from Windsor Castle.

it looks like a jolly interesting building. you should go there on a sunday, not just at christenings and weddings. no need to be a christian, just a spectator, absorbing the architecture, the history and the atmosphere. we don't name them after saints up here, just call them by their location. it's inspiring to sit in the pews for an hour, therapeutic. and you can socialise with members of the congregation afterwards. i have worked many years in a church; it's not such a bad place to visit as one may think. there are always a lot of activities, too - just look in the newsletter or parish magazine. x

Used to go there a lot but not so much lately...

It is a lovely peaceful place to be and i have spent many hours just sitting in there when there's no one else about. Its a good place to think and can be very comforting.

it reminds me of st giles in the gloucestershire village of uley, where i went to school. but tell me, why do you go there less now? do you have no more need for that comfort? did something happen that made you change?

Oh I have every need for the comfort still, but may not necessarily deserve it! Let’s just say my relationship with God has been on dodgy ground for some time…starting to get back on track, but still not ready to ask for forgiveness yet?

Maybe one day i'll hasten to behave ...

Hope the weather improves, I have two allotments to finish digging this week, which means i'll just have too swap the thigh boots for my wellies.
