Hi

My first post here. Very nice board!

Looking at the credits for the new album I´m beginning to suspect that "The faith" is an outtake from "Recent songs": same producer, same mucisians, same "arranger of strings". Anjanis part could easily have been overdubbed. And what about the songs that´s been "Produced, arranged and performed by Sharon Robinson"? Have they ben in the can since 01. Anybody knows?

Don't worry, Örjan - "The Faith" is a brand new song. In fact
it is Leonard's comment to today's conflicts between the
religions in the Near and Middle East (just like "On That Day"
is about the 9/11). -- We don't know when the creative
process of Sharon's songs started... but we know that Leonard
may work on a new track for years until he feels it has been
"nailed".

Ah, no wonder "The Faith" is a full-cast song of beloved friends. With all those people playing/singing, it will be very rich, which the title suggests, anyway.

Good reasoning and research, however, Orjan 8) . Welcome to the Board :D !

I can believe we have complete Recent Songs band back again, but it's hard to believe there are also Garth Hudson and Jeremy Lubbock again - they played on about couple of tracks in 1979...

I told my wife about the dots and 'dear heathers'. She didn't understand what I was on about and thought I was going mad!

I tried to show her the dots. They were gone. She thinks her opinion was right all the time. I'm quite capable of going dotty all by myself. Put back the dots! (or just the 'dear heathers' as a compromise....)
