Although, he doesn't have it on the photos from arrival to Zagreb on July 20 (true, maybe he puts it only for the shows).
He has had it earlier - I saw this when watching Songs From The Road. In the Backstage Sketch there is a B&W small section of video spliced betwen the coloured video of Dance Me To The End Of Love clearly showing him wearing it then. It doesn't appear to actually be when he's singing that song.

It's tricky though - difficult to know what Leonard has "up his sleeve."  :D :D

Hi sturgess66,

My patience paid off, I looked at some songs from the concert, and I found
that it is also in Bratislava, Leonard bracelet. It's in the song First We Take Manhattan,.
Time: 5:54, just when the Leonard farewell to fans and giving a hand up and a hat.
Just then, is to see a bracelet on his hand. I hope that my eyesight is still good. :D

.. this is a photo that caught my eye of NEeMA wearing what looks to me like a pretty similar bracelet in the publicity for her album
Good catch, rpan. I was at NEeMA's superb gig in LA last night. I asked her about the bracelet she was wearing, which I noticed when she was autographing her new CD. She told me, Leonard gave it to her.

I think your eyesight is still good LEONKA! And I say you are correct - it is tricky :D - but I can see it there too.

I've been reading more about the healing/therapeutic properties of the magnetic hematite stones - and a bracelet sounds like a good idea! 8) Better than the copper bracelet I once wore - because the copper tends to turn your wrist green.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the show Arlene. I have this very faint hope that one of her soon-to-be-announced December dates will be in the San Francisco region whilst I'm there. I love her CD!

Well done for your super sleuthing. Somehow I don't think that these bracelets are Dime Store versions ..... For anyone who aspires to a bracelet like Leonard's, the images on this one seem to be a perfect match for his (see photo from Florence on previous page):

The images on this bracelet from the same site seem to match NEeMA's:

I wonder if Leonard made a bulk buy for family and friends??

NEeEMA's bracelet suggests that he wears one because he likes them, not for its health giving properties as I thought previously!

@Wendy
NEeMA did mention in one of her wonderful stories between songs that she is a Catholic.
I do hope you get to see her. She is marvellous indeed. I am working on my NEeMA report. Stay tuned...

Do you think Leonard is on hand bracelet hematite,or bracelet timber. Because it is indeed a significant difference. I need not explain what effects the hematite on human health.I think that Leonard is on hand hematite bracelet,

What is your opinion?

Maybe it's those health bracelets made of brass against humidity.

Good morning from Dublin,

I'll solve the mystery about the bracelet.

When I met Leonard in Marseilles, I asked him could I look at his bracelet: he said yes. So I lifted his wrist and rubbed the icons of the saints. "It's a cheap Catholic bracelet I bought in Nashville, it cost $2", he said. "Was it in the store down near the river?" I asked, "that's the one", he said.

In song.

Thanks for the clarification Paula from Dublin - for solving the mystery!!
Apart from Leonard's own interest/pleasure with the bracelet, that $2 was a great investment from the point of view of stimulating fan interest.

LEONKA - I think I would tend to agree with you. It would not take a "leap of faith" ( ) for me to believe that Leonard would be interested in or aware of the therapeutic qualities of the bracelet. I believe he has carried Kombolói for years (worry beads) that are used for relaxation purposes and stress management. Kombolói/worry beads have no religious affiliation. And he also uses (and shares) essential oils before shows – oils that are used for health and general well-being purposes (aromatherapy) – stimulating and also just pleasant to the senses. As well, the Saints bracelets are attractive and colorful - pretty pictures, or as described at the link below "each bracelet is adjustable, and features 12 panels of full color Italian art." Those “pretty pictures” are of Saints. And given Leonard’s long-standing interest in religions, and religious symbolism, etc., once again, for me it does not take a “leap of faith” ( ) to think that Leonard, as well as finding the Saints bracelet attractive, would also find it of interest - as well as being aware of the therapeutic benefits of the magnetic hematite beads. 8)

BUT - that is all just speculation on my part.

Also, it is the beads that have therapeutic qualities. The beads should be genuine “magnetic hematite beads” – not a synthetic.
This website gives info about "genuine magnetic hematite" -
http://giftsbylulee.mybisi.com/product/ ... t-bracelet

And one other thought – given the interest of the fans, I think the bracelets would probably sell well at the merch booth. 8)

I can't help but think of the line from Light as the Breeze: "there's blood on every bracelet".
You know- saints---> martyrs--->blood.

No matter really- just my random thought- because the song predates his bracelet...by decades.

Hi Sturgess,

So I can imagine. :D

Still I wonder why Leonard had a hand bracelet with Catholic images? On Amazon.uk, yet I found this:

New moon Bella

Here again write that it is Jewish bracelet. Diversity is seen in pictures.
What, by Leonard wants to suggest or .... it's, really, he wears for health.

Rather than selling a bracelet with Catholic images on it, the merch stands could sell one with pictures of Leonard and the band on it (or just Leonard, alternating with his various symbols). Now, THAT, I would wear!
