Re: My painting

Thanks very much for the compliments. This is not the INITIAL painting I was working on that was inspired by the song "The Gypsy's Wife". I started that one, and it is still sitting on the easel, on hold (which sometimes happens). Then, THIS one, with the raven, also inspired by the same song, just happened to ooze out of my head and onto the canvas......such is the artistic brain.......I don't plan on adding much to it at all. I may submerge the piece of driftwood more into the water; I think there is too much of it sticking out......a little more blending of the water into the driftwood as well....it's in the "underpainting" stage right now, but I think I may leave it leaning toward that, as opposed to really thick paint on the canvas (i.e. Van Gogh)

I have two other paintings in my head, LC-inspired, that just haven't made it from my hand to the brush to the canvas. But yes, this is all related to this older forum post AND I must say it is also inspiring to see the other artists' Cohen works on the other sites/threads. Some GORGEOUS paintings there.......
I am, truthfully, always humbled when someone likes my work.
Sincere thanks,
