Is Geoffrey mischief making again.
I meant to respond earlier but you see I’ve caught all these men!!!
I just can’t keep up –either their clothes need to be ironed or they’re hungry or thirsty or can’t find the socks I hid in their underwear drawer or they’ve peed on the toilet seat (yes – it’s my fault I did complain about falling in before) by time I get that cleaned up they’re hungry again and decide to help me out by making their own … giant mess that is - I've decided that catch and release is probably better but I just can’t get the hook out of one of these guys and believe me I’m trying! (joking – I adore all of the men big and small who live in our home)

I don’t know how long this will last,
I don’t know how long you will stay.
I don’t know how long you will feel
The way you feel for me today?
This is my favourite verse ... acknowledging this and keeping this means that you won't take this love for granted - you see the gift of being with each other in the here and now.

Hi YL

Always try to do No.4. And as for No.6 I think this is the real thing. I also know that No.8 is very true but if it weren’t then where would the challenge be. You pointed No.9 out to me some time ago, it’s just taken me a while to accept it…And as for No.10…well I think I have that well covered! Thank you YL.

As I said Nobody can know what will happen in the future so you just have to make the most of the time you have now…Live for the moment and enjoy it…Life’s too short! Glad you enjoyed it cate

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments

This is a song which I feel would make a good companion for your sweet poem
http://il.youtube.com/watch?v=-zGNp8YU_i8

I have to say your poem has attracted some strange events
I wont mention the 1 st one
The other one was someones Shadow
and they really liked your poem too
and then the clouds came along !

Thank you Lonndubh for your comments...

Loved the song...I edited the original post and added the song at the end as it really does go well with it.

I think I've got used to the strange events round here, or maybe i've just learned to ignore them...

Many thanks

well, people who see a priest walking up their path at midnight hold their breath, too. And people who observe the rythmical convolutions of a retching cat's abdomen know they are watching a prelude to vomiting, and naturally become apprehensive when a belly-dancer stands before them rolling her stomach. or to put it simply; positive critique of a good poem is as non-constructive as negative critique of a bad poem. be angry at the young man who doesn't offer an old lady his seat on the bus, but don't ignore his crutches. observe what is going on, but watch even closer that which is not happening - and breathe.

i am not well-pleased with the current spate of superficial messages polluting this thread. write pleasantries to one another by all means, if and when absolutely necessary, but please try and remember that simultaneously adding a little creative substance to them would enhance my reading enjoyment ten-fold. or, in the immortal words of leonard cohen to lady midnight: "whatever you give me seems to need so much more!" i know exactly how he felt.

Who knows to what you may be referring, Geoffrey. However, given the timing and placement of your comment, in some cases [and this could be one ;-) ], adding to your pleasure aka reading enjoyment may not be a matter of concern, at all... however, sharing genuine happiness for someone whose world has been enriched in other ways may very well be. As one reads, another embraces.

To close with just a little more lack of creativity, loving you as always, Geoffrey :D .
