hehe, I have to confess that this 30-year-old can't kneel and rise again in Leonard's effortless manner, he puts me to shame!

I just can't get that image of Leonard singing "Hallelujah" out of my mind - so much emotion. I'm not ashamed to say I cried. For the first time in my life I can say I would be glad to be colour blind.......and that's saying something because art and colour are my living.
Also reading Arlene's story has given me the courage to write mine. If anyone is interested I've put it on lilyfyre's thread in Comments & Questions - "Remembrance of The 'First' Time".

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, long ago I saw something in black and white color. We recalled the time 30 years ago when we were in black and white film only. But, his graceful body movements are so sexy. It's like, the seduction to dance. Leonard on video, does not seem to be the age of 74 years.

My two cents worth......the B&W videos magnify the emotional friendship Leonard has with our psyche. ... ...accentuates the human dimension...I wonder how we would feel if the concerts were in black and white? Probably the same. After all, we don't go for the lighting!
Many thanks for sharing with the Forum.

Lisa,
Thanks for the link to these works of art...absolutely stunning and capture the pure emotion and essence of the wonderful concerts we have all been privileged to witness and be part of. They must be amongst the best footage from any of the concerts, brilliant camerawork and the moving from the initial colour of the audience to the black and white seems to enter the whole show into a new dimension. I am spellbound again...

Unspoken Words,
You're very welcome (and thanks for resurrecting this thread! Perhaps now even more people will see these tremendous videos!). I just watched them again myself the other evening, and I am always moved by them, there is something very special about them.
Cheers,
Lisa

This is a good place to put this video I think. It is quite different - sort of black and white - and red! I it watched earlier today - a video from the show in Philadelphia at the Academy of Music on May 12, 2009.
Of course, I am prejudiced - because I was at this show - but this video is different because of the colour - the black and white - and the red. And I love the way the camera captures the light changes on stage. It is not a close up video- but a great view of the whole stage.
And it was a fantastic show - the best - a great audience - and the theatre is beautiful (you can see a bit at the end of the video).
Noteworthy -
Neil on the Hammond B3 at 3:02
Sharon Robinson's energy and enthusiasm - throughout!
Roscoe Beck at 4:09 -
Of course - Leonard kneeling in front of Javier - about those gifts - LOL - at 4:10
Leonard skipping offstage at 5:36
Audience reaction and view of audience & the theatre - 5:40 to end!

I'm thinking - Philadelphia is a Nordic country. Isn't it?
