The SUBLIME Sharon Robinson

.
If all those photos are by Lorca, she would do well to go into creative, portrait photography. Wonderful lighting and expression. The one in Sharon's dressing room, as she holds her coffee, has the look of an opera diva who's exotic, profound, warm, and approachable. Imagine that

.
I love these photos.

Even though there is nothing about new projects - I would still love to be able to read the interview with Sharon Robinson. The pictures of her are beautiful - and it's great to see her being featured in the magazine.
This was just posted on Sharon's FaceBook -
Sharon appears on the cover of the debut issue of the new Spanish art and culture magazine, Sanddart. Inside is an in-depth article/interview about her work, and some previously unpublished photos with Leonard Cohen. Check it out at: (

Sharon's beauty radiates which each photo of her. Her eyes illuminate a light of pure feminine softness and seduction. She is indeed a very beautiful woman . Her talents reach far beyond what has already been discovered. Her voice is effortless and graceful when she sings . She is a hidden treasure now discovered and how blessed we are for that...

I've made a (free) translation of the whole interview and there's nothing in it concerning new projects,
they are just thinking about it ...
She tells a lot about the realization of her own album and that she intends to bring out her live version of Boogie Street,
about their touring in Spain, nothing new in fact.

Not too surprising, my question may have been a little over zealous

Her own album is wonderful too, was listening to that the other night

Thanks Marie!
Sharon speaks (and sings) with such grace.
Beautiful that she acknowledged Leonard as contributing to the success of herself and others, saying "Leonard has a way of bringing out the best in people...' I believe that Leonard does that with some of us right here on the forum too, even though he doesn't know it.

Sharon has posted the translation of the article in a blog at her MySpace.
Here is the link for Sharon's MySpace -
http://www.myspace.com/sharonrobinsonmusic
And here is a direct link to the blog -
http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuse ... =526815619
I think anyone should be able to access both links (I do not believe you have to be a member of MySpace since Sharon's page there is not private?). However - if there are problems in accessing it - shout it out and I will print out the translation here.
The article is a "question and answer" event with Sharon, and it is very interesting and most enjoyable! For example - some information about Sharon's EXCELLENT new CD "Everybody Knows" -
QUESTION: 7. In fact, his [Leonard Cohen's] presence becomes palpable with the album art, which he made. There are lots of symbols in it, some sort of hieroglyphic writing that has been present too in the iconography during the last tour. Some of them, remind us to Dear Heather, the other bring us back to the times of The Future. Can we know the meaning of each one? Can it be an Alpha and Omega? (Note: If it’s private, needless to say there’s no need to answer this one)....
ANSWER: The symbol in the upper left corner is the Unified Heart. It’s Leonard’s version of an ancient Jewish symbol, a version of the Star of David. The symbol below it on the left is Leonard’s “chop”, the stamp of his Zen Buddhist name. On the right is my logo, designed by Leonard after we made TNS, the coffee cup and the hummingbird, an image he has often used in his own artwork.....
I have this wonderful album - and everything about it it a work of art - including art work/drawing on the actual CD!!
Here - I swiped a picture of the front from Amazon -
EDITING - OOPS - while I was typing a verbose post here, I see Marie posted the link from Sharon above!

I'm leaving my post here with main link to Sharon's MySpace as well as the link to the blog - and the little excerpt from the interview.
