The bottom 2 - cheapest - classes of tickets refer to the Loge and the Balcony respectively. The cheap seats in row 14 are way up in the gods at the back of the balcony which is not for me. If I'm honest, I might well have paid 33,000 RUR for a seat in the front row but definitely not for row 6! I'm going to Bratislava instead.

Oh and yes, my Very Important Meeting on March 18 has now been cancelled so I would have been free to travel. Ain't life a bitch ....

price-wise your best bets are mezz left/right. mezz centre and balcony are in the stratosphere. just google venue images to see what it's like.

I am wondering if we have got this all sussed incorrectly?

If you click on the 2000 rouble option ticket - the lowest of the bands displayed - you get 4000 roubles in Row 1, 3500 Roubles in Row 3, 3000 Roubles in Row 5, 2500 Roubles in Row 10 and 2000 Roubles in Row 14. (Silly me for thinking it would indicate where the 2000 roubleseats were located!)

These prices compare fairly with Europe and North America.

I suspected that perhaps Row 1 was the first row of a block a long way back but if so why the discrepency between Rows 1, 3 and 5?

Unfortunately I cannot see any indication of where the Block may or may not be. Normally one would assume Row 1 is at the front so dive in and help yourself LadyDi but if it is block Z..............

All very confusing - and my long since forgotten degree in Soviet Foreign Policy might have helped in regard to the placing of Nuclear missile silos but is of little assistance in navigating through the labyrinth complexities of the Kremlin Palace's seating plan!

Here's the seat map. Read my post up thread. I can understand this not being affordable, but as far as finding your seats in the venue I just can't see your problem.

Having serious trouble getting into this booking site, and the Pre and post seem the same. Have the plane and hotels already booked, crazy?? have done worse. Any info that could help in any way would be welcome.

Hi atwellaz,

Notice that this is your first posting. Where do you live? The Moscow concert tickets are very very expensive. Hotels are still quite available (very very expensive though also), and depending on where you live there should be no problem with flights into Moscow. March is not exactly prime season. In fact I can't think of many people who would want to go to Moscow in March unless it was for Leonard! :D

Were you REALLY at Phoenix, Red Rocks, and Las Vegas? How could we have missed each other? Maybe the old six degress of separation. Did you connect with any of us? I was at all those concerts, and especially in Las Vegas there were huge gatherings of LC fans.

Wish you luck with Moscow but it will be very dear. Actually the website seems strange to start with but is pretty straightforward in showing the various sectors available.

Wish I could have been there for many reasons, but far far too rich for my blood!

All the best,
Diana

ps..just tried to access the booking site but it still wants a password, and the password is no longer viable. Perhaps wait a couple of hours and try again...the regular booking site should be up and running then.

No problem thanks - I had no problem finding the seating map myself and I could even read the section tags in Russian. What confuses me is why there are only odd blocks of seats available here and there. Who are all the other seats allocated to?

You were spot on with your earlier comments about the difficult buying process & typical prices though.

I suppose they are only releasing a few seats for online purchases - the rest is kept for walk-ins? I don't know, it doesn't seem like anybody should want to experience the hell that is their online service. I mean, I hate ticketmaster as much as the next person, but this is just something else. I haven't had problem locating the seats that I wanted, but so what if I still couldn't pay for them?

To be fair, that's exactly what I expected so more reasons to wait for more Canadian dates later on this year. Hopefully...

Have just managed to access the site; it was certainly closed this morning. I think(?) I have bought 2 tickets, Row 24 seats 43,44 - looked at these when I registered earlier this week; thought they'd be 'held' for 24 hours, but the seats were still listed under 'Your Orders' today! but labelling on floor plan is still confusing to me. Is Row 24 ON the floor ,or on 1st level?? No flights or hotels yet......stressful, or not? :?: :(

I now live in Moscow. I saw Leonard Cohen in Birmingham. I have just brought tickets to see him in Moscow for 2750 roubles (about the same price as Birmingham). Of course, ticket prices in Moscow are terrible if you want to be near the front.

My advice if you want to see him in Moscow:

1/ Aim for somewhere further back. The venue looks good wherever you're sitting. TICKET PRICES ARE VERY EXPENSIVE IN MOSCOW. However, if you book further back you can get good tickets.
2/ Try www.parter.ru There are still good options and the range seems better than kassir.ru and the seating plan certainly makes more sense.
3/ Hotels are very expensive in Moscow. But you can try Izmailovo Gamma Delta, which has good prices and isn't too far from the center via the Metro: http://www.izmailovo.ru/en/
4/Use the Metro when you're in Moscow
5/ Take the Aeroport Express train from the airport and save your money on a taxi.
6/ Moscow is safer than anywhere you've been so don't worry about anything.
7/ Enjoy Leonard's first Russian concert!!
8/ If you need any advice then let me know...
