Don't know on what row I'll be though as it is a surprise present but the first ones sound promising

I just registered here since I was following this thread

Have been a LC fan since I was 19 which is already more then 25 years ago... Missed the Rotterdam concert last year

so I was happy that I could get a ticket for the Lille concert! The 3,5 hour drive from Amsterdam to Lille is one I am more then happy to make!

I would be interested on a premeet before the concert

My partner and I are going too. Travelling over on Eurostar on morning of concert (if they can sort the electrics out) and staying over at the Lille Best Western (think it's close to the concert hall) that evening then on down to Paris for a few days on the following day. It would be great to meet up with like minded souls before or after concert. I have been to Lille a couple of times before just briefly when passing through to Ghent but it seems to be a nice place. Always think my French is passable until I start conversing with a native. Cheers

Ye Gods, HugoD -- early March is closer than I thought. Better start thinking about accommodation. Where are people staying? Recommendations?

(I've given myself an extra day and was going to visit Bruges after the concert, but maybe it is time I returned to Paris).

It will soon be March, and I still haven't booked accommodation - or travel! Anyone recommend a hotel near the venue, please?

I'll stay at the Novotel Centre Gares which is very near the venue (500 metres) and the railway station.

Hi,
We come from near Rotterdam with 7 people.
Me, my wife and mom
2 brothers with girldfriends

We do not come to a meet up because we would be together to think about my dad who died suddenly in november 2009.
Maybe a meeting next time, hope he comes to the Netherlands again.

It seems that the 2 most expensive cities to stay in for the France tour, are Lille and Grenoble. Must be the mid-week business rates.

I'll be there with a bunch from my local pub. A pub which plays almost only Leonard Cohen songs and threw a party for his 75th. See: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=17740&start=225#p195254

There were going to be eight of us, but financial inconveniences means it'll only be six or seven now (some over just for the night, some staying in Lille for a week).

The dropouts mean I have at least one spare ticket, and it's the seat next to gilly-rjd's ticket (third row, Dino Soldo side) so if someone wants a pair of seats together, see the ticket sale thread for more info: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=20091&start=0
