Perhaps they could fix up a dungeon/nutters' ward for us beneath the Tower of Song, then we could listen to him singing sweetly to us from his window above for ever more. Ahhhh...

Thanks for putting a label on my condition,
Doctors Without Boundaries would be proud of this study

Actually I realized a couple of years ago something must be wrong: after giving my husband and his buddy a treat of Leonard music when driving from SF to LA, I was ecstatic, and they concluded the trip with a single comment of being "tortured".
This left me really puzzled for several hours trying to understand what did they mean ....?

Perfect! All symptoms present!!!
I finally come back to my "authentic live" this morning and it is not pretty, in fact, it is a torture /almost/.

Those of you who know about my ordeal on my way to Las Vegas may be interested in information that the way back haven´t been the easiest one either. Before take-off from Detroit they found out that one of the board computers doesn´t work. Spare part needed wasn´t present in Detroit, had to be brought in from Atlanta. Result in short, 3 hour delay, i.e. missing my direct flight from London to St. Petersburg. Had to go via Moscow so I got my first glimp of Moscow...

And I thought my trip´s planning was so meticulous... Is it true that devil is laughing when we make plans? In that case I have good news for you - he may have died from laughing himself to death. But then again, mission was accomplished - two concerts visited and much, much more...

Love,

Vlasta

I'm absolutely guilty as diagnosed and am willing to do exactly as the doctor orders ;-) :)

I laughed so much - brilliantly researched and written 8)

This was HILARIOUS with identification!!!!!! I can now continue living a normal life knowing that me and my colleagues here have been properly diagnosed. I'd like to attend that LC (AA) meeting and admit all my addictions. I have a creative project in mind which hopefully I can make available to all fans here to share in my obsession even further.

:D  :D  :D

  of course, I also have all the symptoms ... for me it was a chronic form of the incurable disease. That my illness but it seems highly contagious form, because in my neighborhood gradually became infected during the past year, several other people. Do not suffer quite as severe as I do, but they are infected
Treatment is of course the music, lyrics and voice of Leonard Cohen and the worst-affected patients will only participate in a concert or a personal meeting with Mr. Leonard .. Due to my very severe state, I probably need the latter radical treatment 8)

This is the most brilliantly hilarious thing I've ever seen.

But I think, in addition to health insurance, we also need disability/workers compensation, because some of us (or maybe most of us) cannot go to work or anywhere else (except LC concerts or Cohenite meet-ups), because we have to stay home to listen to, read about, think about, & look at pictures of Leonard Cohen all day & all night. And that's on top of the hours we need to spend on the Forum.

Thank you, DrHGuy, for clarifying our predicament, and for a very therapeutic laugh! You are brilliant.

And on top of all that we have to avidly follow the lives of Fred - & little Ned :D

I've had this condition for years & have accepted that I will never be cured. Anticipating & attending concerts are the only ways I know of to alleviate the symptoms

I think we need a support group.

How about a 24-hour call-in hotline? I need a daily (several shots) LC fix.....I'm in BAD shape! But boy, does it feel good...

I think we need a support group.
Don't we already have one? - Albeit one that intensifies the symptoms instead of curing them ...

I resemble your observations good Doctor :-)

Thanks for singling me out, although I qualify as well with most items on your list.

Problem is, this seems to exacerbate the symptoms rather than alleviating them. :D
No cure, I guess.
