Hi Arno. Yes, lies not truth is a major factor of the "human condition".
Good to see you write this poem/lyric and tackle a topic that is critical for our species. Why indeed do we hate rather than love? Or hate as well as love? Or hate more intensely than love? Why are we capable of such gross evil in the world when we are clearly such sensitive beings?
These questions have haunted us for millenia and though answers and solutions are only an intelligent step away we do not wish to know about it for the topic is to horrific to contemplate. We are in fact in denial that there is a problem. So how are we to solve it? First we have to see it. Really see it. Failure to solve the problem after it is truly perceived may lead to insanity. Hence relentless avoidance and denial. It is safer.
See also Leonard's "Land of Plenty". Floyd/Water's "Us and Them". Floyd/Gilmour's "On the Turning Away". (just to name a few).
Thanks for the posting, Witty Owl.
