Once the evil has been cleansed, we might properly enter the age of aquarius and reach towards Godhead. There is a purpose in Duality, some people take it to extremes.
The small faults that you mention, is also taking the argument to the opposite extreme. The fundamental forces keep the universe ticking and in (opposite) harmony. When the balance is tipped it may create a new universe and our values will change in Harmony.
The Holocaust was the operation of one man's obsession with the scapegoat.
He would have been better looking at himself for the cause of his inner conflict. Often we blame stereotypes for things that we personally do wrong.
This Blame Culture must stop, because sometimes it gathers momemtum and a whole race or culture suffers. The Holocaust was one of the most evil and systematic hatred ever shown and i hope that it was the last.
Recent history is showing us that it is not................
A fundamental change in human values must now occur to enable us all to progress to our ultimate destinies.

I agree with the all-inclusive[ness] of your response, Makera. We turn a blind eye to some, and recoil in horror at others. I agree with the distinctions you're making, as well, Toothy.

I read something last night in Oprah's magazine [whilst doing my laundry] that I really identified with. At the top of the page, it says "live your best life." Beneath it is a very graphic photograph. Superimposed on the top right of the photo, it says, "The circle of life: Only connect." The photo, of approximately 22, black Africans, is perhaps naked people [can't really tell], sitting on the ground in a circle, their legs outstretched straight toward the center, heels on the ground, soles exposed, and toes pointing up. All of their feet touching creates a relatively large, inner circle, with the grass showing through in that inner space.

Beneath the photo it says:
"Ubuntu is very difficult to render into a Western language. It speaks of the very essence of being human.... You share what you have. It is to say, 'My humanity is caught up, is inextricably bound up, in yours.' We belong in a bundle of life. We say, 'A person is a person through other persons.'
It is not, 'I think therefore I am.' It says rather: 'I am human because I belong. I participate, I share.' A person with ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed, or treated as if they were less than who they are." ~ Desmond Tutu, from his book No Future Without Forgiveness

Thank you, Elizabeth ~
That is a wonderful contribution and quote! :D
Ubuntu says in a word what I've always seen as our interconnectedness - 'the you in me; the me in you', and God in every living thing. All in All, All in One. Great word! 8)

Thanks for your feedback, Makera. Yes, it's a wonderful word and concept isn't it :D . Don't know if the usage will be correct, but I'll sign off anyway........

With Ubuntu,
