Hey Esther,

Even if the stage is far back from Row one...we can always storm it! :D 8) ;-)

Jarkko,

You are one of the most honest men I have come across.

Not the most clear picture but it shows the floor section, and security guards in yellow shirts standing in front of stage, facing the audience. The stage at HP is pretty far from even the front row, unfortunately. I remember this configuration from the Paul McCartney show there a few years back. Of course, maybe LC and Co would opt not to have that partition and/or that many guards. I guess we'll find out!
Esther,
This picture says it was from Wild Jam 2008. Googled it - this was a hip hop concert featuring Lil Wayne among a few others. I can't see this type of security put into place for us mild-mannered LC fans ;-) .

Good luck with the presale everyone! I had good luck this morning with the KC presale. Logged on promptly at 10am and kept tossing back tickets until I got a front row ticket. Nothing showed up in the first 3 rows until 10:15 though! Wondering if TM is trying this tactic to thwart scalpers? Anyway, I'm off-center on the side of the ladies - almost perfection! Just for fun I searched the top level VIP package and those seats were 1st row - dead center. So, I knew I couldn't get any closer to the center than I did - not without spending a lot more money anyway!

Let us know how you all do!

How do I do the presale? I've missed *everything* due to being sick. Help?
I've been a fan since I read Dave's Song in the 70s in junior high.

Hi,
I am a relatively new fan after having seen Leonard play in sydney earlier this year and I see that this is the end of the tour so have decided to fly over from Australia for the San Jose show. I am converting times and 10:00am Thursday the 6th is actually 3:00pm Friday the 7th over here! So I am going to be at the ready...
I have not convinced anyone to come with me so am after just one ticket for myself, front row would be increadible but I dare not dream of that. I was about row 20 in Sydney and that was wonderful.
I have quite a long history of seeing music shows and have seen many very good ones, but that night in Sydney I will always remember, I was absolutely blown away. I simply must see him once more, at least!!!!

It's very simple! Just follow the pre-sale instructions.

For those wondering about seating maps...

This is from the venue's website at http://www.hppsj.com/building_informati ... mation.asp
"Seating Configuration: Seats are numbered from right to left from the guest’s perspective. The number of seats in each row varies, depending on the section. For concerts, floor seating sections are also numbered from right to left from the guest’s perspective. The number of rows on the floor depends on the setup, ranging from 25 to 50 rows. Please note that the seating on the floor is flat with no ramping from front to back. Except for the first three rows on the floor, each floor row has 14 seats. The guest view for the most common concert seating configuration can be seen at End Stage Seating."

Good luck this morning.

Happiness...thank you SO much....in fact, you made me quite "happy"! I did go into the HP site, but missed the seat chart section that you linked us to. What is especially nice is to have the photos giving some idea of the view! Thank you so much...and good luck to us all with the presale!

All the best,

So I finally figured out where the presale thread lives and get up at 6:30am to be here at 7am (10EDT) to find out that San Jose password won't actually be posted until 10amPDT. Wish I'd realized that last night. Ah well. Back to sleep for a couple hours. I'll be back, refreshing furiously, until the password shows up.

My husband and I and our two kids are all fans. I first found Leonard Cohen through a young adult book called Dave's Song. That was in the 70s. I'm SO glad to have the chance to see him again - and hear him actually sing live. We saw him onstage after the Phillip Glass concert at Stanford a couple years ago. But he just did a walk-on after the concert was over.

If we don't get tickets for this event, my husband and I are flying to Prague.

HP Pavilion as in the 20,000 people basketball arena ?? I saw Springsteen there....isn't that a bit big....system sounded like crap, btw. I saw him at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, which provided a great atmosphere and fantastic sound. He does have his own crew, but a huge place like that is limited quality no matter what. Granted it's great so many will get to see him, and I'm still going.

Not to worry. LC has the best sound technicians with Leanne Ungar et al. They have played in arenas that held twice as many people and the sound was impeccable.

I;m amazed at how many people Leonard Cohen draws, and in all age groups - and that he's doing that turning 75 (my birthday as well...), playing 3 hours. In Oakland he played FB Raincoat, missing from the DVD, managed to get it on video. The whole concert exudes Zen spirit, in its seemingly effortless perfection and attention to detail.
