Well that is certainly a start. As you grow you will come to see how good and then way past good. As it is I still feel a little hesitation in your words.

but that wasn't good. I have advised you before to stay away from attempting humour. it just isn't your thing.

now, my poetry is good but not exceptional. I hold no records here.

you however have achieved a record by writing some of the worst poetry ever posted here. Why don't you savour the fact that you are a record holder? Why don't you chill and appreciate that your "diamonds under his knees" and your "lover/queen staying under the cover" are bad, way past bad, that you have achieved what so many strive for- your standard of writing makes you a child again, (albeit one who writes crap poetry even for a child).

btw have you posted it yet to another site so it can be judged by someone who doesn't know you?

I love it when people ask questions. What ever happened with the last one you asked? You asked Lion if my diamonds line should become the metaphor for bad poetry. Did you ever ask him why?

and to answer your question to me. No one is getting bloodied and battered. Anything I enter here is in a very fundamental way already dead.

Is that why you never write anything here? You think there may be pain involved in doing so? Are you hurting for me Tinder?

Babes, what you mean is I will always be hungry and Jack will always be salami (except for the fact that salami is cured sausage and he shows no sign of improvement).

Laz
I had no reason to ask Lionking why your diamond line should be the bad writing metaphor... I thought it was bad myself.

Hurting for you? Hurting for you? what the hell does that mean?

I dont have the creative mind to write a poem. There are creators and appreciators, I am one of the latter, and I love good writing

I wrote a limerick once... maybe we should start a Limerick thread? five lines .... easy!

Dear Bloodied and Battered Jack

I like your masochism, it's fun!

your diamonds line, now well established as the metaphor for crap writing, deserves its status as it is instantly risible, not even a slow-burning bad, but totally in your face, "shit, did an adult really write that, was he kidnapped and being beaten at the time, was he or his wallet in immediate danger, was it a bet or a misplaced post for the "worst line you can write" competition?"

You deserve your win, well done!

There once was a writer called Jack
who dreamt of writing a good poem
but he had diamonds under his knees
and his lover, the queen stayed under the cover,
and these distractions plus a total lack of any ability, meant he couldn't even write a decent limerick.

Tinder, getting a little excited to see who gets eaten?
Times have changed. The lion is in a cage and he is tame.

well done! "where the wild roses go" is beautiful.

did I win your generous prize with my limerick above? or is it rigged so you keep the money for your own Cavey one?

btw Kathy has 2 passions in life (neither of which are her husband!), the first is motorbiking and last week she rode around Europe until she developed serious tinnitus in Germany and had to come home by train. She feared that was the end of her biking but she is back on her BMW 1200 already and trying to ignore the constant sounds in her head.

her second passion is the Australian Brighton geezer. I have been to a few of his concerts. She has been to zillions.

there once was a writer called Jack,
as handsome as Cave all in black,
his talents are wasting
his words are self-basting
as wet as Minogue in the sack

a quote from my chambers website and I leave you to work it out

"Michael Wolkind has one wife, two dogs, three children and four friends. His out of court interests include an irrational support of Barnet Football Club. The Bees having been accidentally relegated to the Conference a few seasons ago they are now coasting at the bottom of League 2. Their improved form is entirely due to Michael"

btw 2 of those friends are the dogs.
