THERE WERE TEARS shed into beers; there were thrusting young rock pups all agog; there were former rivals in the high-stakes game of rock'n'roll brinkmanship draped over each other, claiming to be one anothers' all-time besht mates. But most of all, there was a rare outbreak of reverence in this cynical, Jonathan Ross-visaged world, and MOJO is glad to admit we were awed by the greats who attended our '09 awards ceremony and humbled to have the chance to say a simple "thanks" for all they achieved, with often scant reward.
