I found a numbered seating plan on another website (hope the link works!):

http://www.pinkfloydz.com/onanisland/im ... venice.pdf

If this is right - and it sort of makes sense - then row XX means there is no row number; the seat number itself designates the row. So seats 37 & 38 are in the fourth row of block A3, seats 9 & 10 in the front row of block A10 etc etc.

There are no guarantees this is right of course but it does makes sense of the "row XX" that everyone is getting and also ties in with the plan for the Andrea Boccelli concert on another website, which clearly shows 10 rows in each block.

Hope that helps! I am sorely tempted by the thought of a concert in St Mark's Sq, but even I have to draw a line somewhere!

I suppose we have to wait for the final plan, they are all different from each other.
I do not know what it depends from, but I wish we all get a good position :-)

I just tried to buy the ticket online (using the plan somebody copied here) but I did not - it seems I can't chose the seat? If that's so, it's very stupid, I have to know which seat I am buying.

The system in Lucca was real mess, nobody could find their seats.

Thanks for that - I think you've solved the mystery there! Looks like I'm probably in the second row.

It's funny how different countries have different seat numbering plans. In France they often have the central seats numbered 1 and 2, with the seats on the left numbered 3, 5, 7, etc, and the seats on the right numbered 4, 6, 8, etc., so the lower the seat number the more central the seat.

Thanks Wendy I think your explanation of the XX along with your plan makes the most sense.
I'm in sector A3 seat 45 which I'm hoping is the centre block 4 or 5 rows from the stage.

I'm afraid it will only be a flying visit for me....arrive Saturday 1st. in the afternoon and fly back in the evening on Tuesday 4th. ...I really didn't expect Venice to materialise so I'm booked in for the Edinburgh Festival from the 6th. August...hey ho.

I got B10 but didn't buy - it's for 103 E - will try later, I am trying to get into B3 :)

First blocks tickets are quite expensive compared to other EU shows, I guess 170 E is A blocks? First rows in Lucca were 100 E.

Does anybody knows how many rows does one block has? That way I could count the rows (i.e. B10 will be 15th if each block has 5 rows).

I just wonder why can't they numerate it as all normal people, from 1st row to 50th, left and right, and seat numbers in each row. Not only that we buying online, half year in advance, but we're also buying the cat in the bag, completely blindly. After this tour finishes, I think I will throw up every time somebody will say "ticketmaster", "eventim" or "ticketone".

Tom,

Mabeanie1 (Wendy)'s seating plan gave me a very good idea as to how all the seats are numbered. There appear to be 10 seats to a row in most blocks. Hope her seating chart helps you. It helped me immensely! Thanks again Wendy!

Best regards,
Mary

OK - 138 Euros is for A blocks in front of stage - I just decided to take 138E ticket and the system showed me I am buying "settore A10".

It would be good to know how many rows does each sector has, if it has let's say 5 rows, then B1-5 sectors are actually rows 6-10 on the square... Wendy's seating plan is excellent - let's hope they're not making completely new one for each show ;P

I am getting A10 all the time for 138 E, probably A3-4 are 170 E?......

All I can suggest is for you to go through the buying process and using Wendy's plan see where the seats are located that they offer you. I think that's what everybody else is doing.

we've got sector A10 and the seat numbers 16/17 . I hope thats good and not too much on the side, and i hope we dont see only the board.

does anybody knows if its a problem to took a 2years old child to the concert, because we make holidays in italy with our little Leonard and we have to take him with us because we have no babysitter.

in lucca it was no problem

Tom,
I think those €178 tickets are for the VIP package similar to those at other concerts. Settore A10 seating looks pretty good to me. That's where I got seats.
